This site has been awarded with this Arte Y Pico honor by Sheila and Lisa. Our heartfelt thanks to the both of you! We are both humbled and blessed even as we know that this award affirms our reason for being here. As most of you know, we do paid advertisements in this blog, but even while we do this, we keep in mind to press on doing what the Lord would have us do. That is to glorify Him in everything we do, even as we share snippets of our lives and how the Lord has been faithful. We keep in mind though, that more than what He can do through us, He is more interested in what He can do in us. This keeps us on track.
Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God. 1Corinthians 10:31
Marriage and Beyond has just celebrated its 6th month and we feel blessed. Indeed blessed that the Lord has used this web site as a channel of blessing to us and to the people around us. We sincerely thank all our regular visitors, even occasional ones and the regular droppers too.

Oh the domestic goddess that I am! I find myself mad-juggling everything at home lately. Just for the record I don’t feel bad about it, though. It’s just that I have never had my hands as full as they are now: multi-tasking around the home, taking care of our son while doing my online business. It can be overwhelming, even more than that of the time when I was on postpartum. As brand new mother as I was back then, our son was never fussy and I kind of knew what I was to do because of the childbirth preparation classes the hubby and I attended.
I have never worked around the kitchen as much as I have been doing lately. We gave up using our microwave and I have gone back to stone age. Lol! Kidding aside, I know this is going to benefit the family rather than stick with the convenience of micro cooking. I appreciate how our contractor designed our kitchen. Thanks Tita Liza! I love the way she maximized the space and I now have plenty of room in the cupboard. I also love my sink, my pot-friendly, single lever faucet. I appreciate the fact that she thought about the convenience of being able to wash everything, especially big pans without hassle. With all these conveniences, I really should be thankful I can get around with ease. I really just have to stick to the everyday cleaning to lessen the stress and leave the major ones to my weekend cleaning lady.ÂÂ

This is the picture I have our little guy look into whenever he asks about his lolo and lola. I took this photo just before our folks left for their flight to the States last Friday.

One of the things the hubby needs is another set of cuff links. He used to have one set that he would use every single Sunday. But we haven’t seen it since we transferred to our home last year. These past days that I have been busy turning the house over, I have also set myself to look for it, but failed to find it. It is just timely to find Cuff-daddy.com that offers huge discounts on cufflinks and cufflink box sets.
This Satin Cross Christian Silver Cufflinks is just the right set for him. Elegant and fitting as he preaches during Sunday services. It’s original price is $59.99 and is currently on sale for $28.99.

Without our taking note of it, these shirts have really been a favorite to the both of us. I just keep finding pictures of the both of us donned in the same shirts. It’s probably about time to get another uniform. Striped designed shirts this time perhaps.ÂÂ

I am glad to report that we are definitely seeing the light at the end of the tunnel from where we are at. We have completely paid off the outstanding balance of one of our credit cards. The hubby and I collectively have a total of four credit cards, minus the supplementary card, which generates one bill with its primary.
When I went to check with EliminateDebt.org I was encouraged to press on to eliminate debt and be more vigilant against accumulating them back. Their site reports that most adults have a minimum of two credit cards – sadly, we fall under this category. That is also one of the reasons why we paid off the aforementioned credit card balance. Before the next cycle of renewal, I would have to call them to terminate my account. That Citibank Visa was a pre-approved one awarded to me for having had a good credit standing with them the previous years. Now I know better than to accept extra cards when they come calling to bug me with another. Read the rest of this entry »

As I was reading about one Nouveau Riche Scam this morning, I overheard one of today’s news that a member of an old rich family is at large. Apparently this rich kid went on shooting his gun over some untoward incident. This old rich family actually owns one of the pioneer malls in Manila. These kinds of news are the very reasons why I dislike watching television. Last night before the hubby and I went to bed, we turned on the television, hoping to catch something good. What beheld our eyes were the sad states of some families in the suburbs. It was “The Correspondents’” topic for the night. Read the rest of this entry »

And Entrecard just got even better with its powerhouse partnership with SezWho! This partnership further reinforces Graham’s vision for Entrecard on getting quality traffic to blogs every webmaster would love to have. I especially like the fact that Entrecard chose to partner with SezWho amongst dozens of other comment platforms available. Apparently, other platforms hijack comments, while with SezWho, you still OWN your comments. I just got the plugin installed and activated, it was a breeze!
What’s sweet about this is that the system SezWho has is uber powerful with a feature that allows the comments you post to other blogs considerable amount of exposure that will bring traffic to your site. Who would not want that? This is why we joined Entrecard in the first place.
Check out the details about Entrecard’s partnership with SezWho or better yet join Entrecard’s contest to kick off SezWho.

This past week has been a busy one for me. Turning a 49sqm. fully loaded house around can be such a task. Aside from the fact that we need to do this to welcome in our little guy’s study nook, a house clean up should be done on a regular basis. Over time we take up stuff that we barely have a need for. That’s what I found out as I dug into several white elephants with dusts galore.

Yesterday as I cleaned up our son’s closet from my stuff and got his clothes in, I realized that after barely three months since the last time I sorted his clothes, he again has outgrown quite a handful of shirts, pants and even underclothes. Sigh! This got me to this great toddler clothes site that showcased variety of clothes that my son needs. What I love about this shopping site is the access it gives to details about different brands, which allows me to compare prices. I am such a cheapskate when it comes to shopping, I only go for the best deals!
