Seriously, I never meant to go on hiatus. There were just a handful of maintenance issues I had to deal with in three other blogs that I author. On my way to being webmaster extraordinaire? Hardly. It’s just that it was the first time in several months that I was actually able to tweak those Blogger sites that I have. In all my previous attempts, I never failed to receive all those nasty bx errors. I really just had to take advantage while I can, who knows when those bx errors would come back to bug me again. I had to unclutter my sites while I still can.

Another shot of the hubby’s - definitely one of my favorites. You see how he played with the curves of the structure on that simple playground? No photoshop needed for this one, thank you. This is one of his first few shots when our now oldie camera was brand new. There probably were a couple of cat trees behind that slide that he managed to hide without having to displace them.
Lately, the hubby has been busy tweaking at least a couple of his sites. Too bad for me because for some reason I kept getting those bx errors in my every single tweaking attempt for as long as I can remember. That is until this afternoon. I was so thrilled to finally dress up my sites with the very layouts that I want. Meanwhile, after having tweaked two of my sites, I just thought I’d take a break and have the last site done tomorrow instead.

Tomorrow is one of our dear friend’s birthday. I am going to load up tonight and give her a call. She left for SG almost a year ago. The last time she was here was last May and won’t be back until October of this year. The little time that we spent with her in a condo hotel when she was here was just not enough. Happy birthday Ana! We love you and our prayers are with you despite our distance. You always bloom wherever the Lord plants you and we have always been proud of you. God bless you more!
These two are definitely unstoppable when they do their thing. They wrestle and go rough like crazy and when they’re at it, there is just no way they would cease, that is until a gentle reminder to the hubby of about five times that it’s almost bed time and the little guy needs to transition to sleep mode - his quiet bunny mode. All mothers know how hard it is for an overly stimulated child to hit the sack when it’s time. My boys and one of their many fun moments together.
I am so thrilled to have been able to create this slideshow via Roxio online . This is the first time ever. I’m no pro and I know it’s not much, I still have got a lot of things to learn. I did not even experiment on the captions, but using this online slideshow maker is so easy. I got to choose my music background, theme and have the presentation look like it was done by a pro. The best part about it is it’s free.
The photos from the slideshow are from our December 8, 2001 wedding. How time flies, we will be married seven years before the year ends. Now that I see how easy it is to create this kind of slideshow, it won’t take awhile until I do a couple more especially that of our little guy’s milestones. I have tons of photos and now I could put all those to good use.
Okay, so I tried and tried, but the hubby just have so many excuses not to drink my sweet potato tops iced tea/juice, at least not more than half of a glass a day. I figured I should be calling it iced tea, because the procedure in doing the concoction is really more of making tea. But then again, I also poured in calamansi juice, so maybe I could call it either.
With the sweet potato tops juice, it always ends up getting consumed by me and my sis. But with this lemongrass concoction that I made yesterday, it was a different story. The hubby actually asked for a second glass and kind of complained when our little guy drank up the last glass of the batch. I failed to take a picture of the actual juice. It definitely was hotter than pancakes (although it’s actually ice cold). They drank it all up before I was able to grab the cam.

Thus these words. The next photo in queue is that of the take home gift he gave to our son. It’s one of those Cebu Pacific’s toy plane that he bought from a flight attendant while they were aboard. As I go around the blogosphere, there are a handful of issues people of America is coming up with. I am sure a lot of people are looking forward to watching this event even as this will have them look at the reality that faces the nation. Will America still be the land of milk and honey for long? Or has it lost its title a long time ago, given the fact that the nation clearly spends more than they earn in taxes, thus the deficit. I tend to carelessly snap shots of everything I fancy, not thinking much how aperture and shutter speed should be set for a particular shot. I’m learning even as I would have him critic the shots that I take.
I don’t know about you but my little guy and I loved the web premier of the sproutwells that we first saw last week. We actually have to search for more episodes via YouTube. It was a thrill especially for my little guy when we viewed its sequel where their little dog who they named Phyto came into the picture.
You could have guessed that I would choose Ruby Red as my favorite character in a heartbeat, the vegetable fashionista character. While my son loves Phyto. This dog character is as restless as he is! lol! Enjoy as you watch this clip and maybe even share the link to friends.
The number seven item of my previous Friday-Fill Ins entry reads that I was anticipating a movie time with the hubby Friday night and a date the night after. Well, both did not happen. He was so tired when he got home Friday. He had to to go to our church in Makati and another church in Novaliches to return the sound systems that were used in their last mission’s trip to Palawan. Saturday wasn’t a good time as well. There were just lots of things that needed to be done.
I received an email two days ago from the PayU2Blog admin, I just won $100! Now I know why I never had that widget removed from my sidebar. Of course that would be aside from the fact that I love that they give me complete freedom in doing the tasks they send my way, requiring the shortest minimum number of words from amongst the number of paid for blogging platforms I am a member of. The hubby and I love badminton. We used to regularly play when the little guy was not around yet. I actually miss playing. Lately, I have really been very busy with the missions trip to Puerto Princesa, Palawan and, as always, with pending blogging assignments. During this busy moments, I really take time to have a break and usually I enjoy my break from office work and typing in front of the computer, not with coffee as many people usually do because I am really not much of a coffee drinker, but with a can of cold A&W rootbeer, a can of cold Dr. Pepper, a chilled Swiss Miss vanilla milk shake or a hot mug of Swiss Miss milk chocolate. Usually, I take this break late at night when I am catching up on message preparations or blog assignments.

It was late last week when I received an SMS from a friend who attends our mother church. Her news got me stunned and I literally had to stop awhile before everything settled in. She was asking for prayers even as the result of the needle biopsy done on her came back positive.
She’s only but 44 years old, a single mother and working every chance she gets to survive life as it is. Then came this. I am equally amazed as to how well she is coping. Her faith is doing her wonders, even the doctors are fascinated by how well she is taking everything in. She came by our place yesterday to ask for help to compose a letter that she will send to her friends and relatives. Please go visit the blog I got set up for her atDebbie’s Battle with Cancer and read her story. I just got one post up. The diagnosis reports: ultrasound, MRI and biopsy are still to be scanned. I’m also going to have it go live for proof. The hubby and I are making ourselves available in whatever possible way we can to help this dear friend who we have known since forever in church. May the Lord richly provide for everything that she would need from now that she’s doing laboratory tests to next week that she’s going to undergo surgery, then chemotherapy or radiation to recuperation.

There is no way she will be able to afford all the treatment she needs. The doctor prohibited her from continuing with her job and she has to prepare for intensive medical procedures.
I have given up doing follow ups on the roaming facility with a local network I had my father’s number registered with before they left for the States. Utter frustration, to say the least. A month later and tens of calls later, they still cannot figure out how to go about the problem.
It is bad enough that they do not offer a service that enables a subscriber to trace any phone number. It was way fuss free when my mom used another network when she went to Pakistan some years back. The last time I called them I made sure I am dealing with a supervisor in the hope that he knows better. To my dismay, nothing came of it. For now, we’re going to have to settle to plain instant messengers and pricey calls until they decide to come back.
1. The last meal I had at a restaurant was a seafood pasta.
2. A stinkin’ dog is something I intensely dislike.
3. The full moon does not indicate a night of the lunatics or even of werewolves and vampires. A full moon is something you can actually behold and be amazed over - another creation of God’s own hands (words rather - He created everything at His command)
4. Oh my, Siomai! (not very local, but that’s really a favorite that I think my little guy has picked up from me) is one of my favorite local expressions.
5. Sometimes it’s best to keep silent (which I often struggle with, especially if I believe I am right. But I am happy to report that I have been victorious in few instances).
6. Kung Fu Panda is the best movie I’ve seen so far this year!
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I’m looking forward to a movie time with the hubby, tomorrow my plans include a night out with the hubby again and Sunday, I want to spend the whole day at church! (is it obvious enough that I have missed the love of my life in almost four days we spent apart when he was in Palawan?!)
