There was no previous plan for me to have anything fancy for Mother’s Day. But Downy had something else in mind when for the first time, I got an invitation especially mentioning that I tag my mother along. For someone who’s been off the event loop lately, I wasn’t going to budge, given the pile of things on my plate. But because I don’t get to hang with my mother a lot anyway, I thought I might as well have the day off, attend the event and spend the rest of the day shopping with her. 🙂
The Downy Timeless Mother’s Day celebration was hosted by new mom Stephanie Zubiri-Crespi at The Manila Peninsula.
Stephanie Zubiri-Crespi shared, “They say that you will only begin to understand how it is to be a parent, or in this case, a mother, once you have become one yourself. As a new mom, I had to figure out many things, and my mom was there to help me along the way. They say that you will only begin to understand how it is to be a mother once you become one yourself. Truly, how my mom raised me made me the mom I am today.”
The 4-Course Lunch we had sure was fit for a Mother’s Day Celebration: Insalata Caprese, Hearty Vegetable soup, Fillet of Beef topped with foie gras and French Silk Pie.
During the Downy Timeless Mother’s Day Celebration, guests celebrated how a mother’s love not only endures but also evolves over time. Her words and actions stay with her children forever, and affect the kind of parents her children may eventually be.
“We wanted to provide a classic scent that mirrors how a mother’s love never goes out of style,” de Padua adds.
