We received an eBook copy of Codley and the Big Storm – Together We Can! by Lisl Fair, right around the time when we were being ravaged by Monsoon rains, typhoon and threats of flooding. This picture book is suitable as a read aloud book for preschoolers. As for our case, with a 7 year old, it is a self-read book.
The story contains a great educational lesson about teamwork that parents will love while children will be intrigued by the inspiring characters.

It might be nothing that my son is already aware of. But it sure is an encouraging and inspiring book for kids, nonetheless. He read that book right around the time we were fixing up the mess the house was in because of the evacuation we had to do. Unlike the Ondoy Flooding in 2009, we were spared this time. For that we are so thankful for God’s mercy upon us. What happened three years ago can be very traumatic even for a child. This book just about encourages children about being in a team and how things can come together beautifully when we all work together.
