Our good friend called up the other night and we are so thrilled to hear from her. She has been in Singapore for quite a while now and we badly miss her company. One of the good news that she has shared with me is the roundtrip madness promotion an airline would offer during some seasons and she said she will advise me as soon as another promotion is available. Imagine $70 roundtrip fair/pax! We are looking forward to this one.
She will be home for October and I have got to remind her to buy us one of those digital camera accessories. Techie stuffs are really cheap in Singapore and we hope to be able to get the lens we want for our Canon A620. The hubby loves this baby despite the fact that I have been wanting to trade this in for a lovely D40.

One major consideration when a family plans for a weeklong vacation is the budget. Its abundance or limitation will spell out where they are headed. Everyday expenses, from meals to transportation should all be figured in.
If a family wants to maximize their vacation time with their given budget and time frame, it is always wise to choose the best place that will give you your money’s worth. Another site that you could check out to add in to your list of future holiday destinations is Seville Hotels Destinia. They dare you to compare with other sites for they are guaranteeing the lowest price with their great offers. Continue Reading »

One of the things expected from mums like me is to ingeniously come up with the best destination for that next holiday. Most moms I know jot places down on their lists and dutifully propose to their hubbies and get the majority of votes before heading on.
A Mums’ Holiday Guide can be very handy in planning that next grand vacation. Whether you are looking for large holiday homes to rent around the world or would just love to go on a one day tour in one of those famous Orland theme parks, we all could use a hand to help take some of the stress out of organizing that next anticipated family time. The ultimate vacation for the hubby and me, hands down, is to go on a Christian cruise. More than just visiting the Holy Land (I have seen from National Geographic that it has transformed into a very commercial place), it would be nice to be able to join one of those Bible cruises that will actually take us to places that we only get to read from the old and new testament books of the Holy Bible.

Even though it has started to rain here, summer is technically not over yet. There are lots of sights to see and places to find some time for relaxation and recreation – places that are just a few minutes drive from Metro Manila. There are places like Avilon Zoo in Montalban, Rizal. Another place which is just a few minutes away from Antipolo City is Sierra Madre resort in Tanay, Rizal.
For vacations outside the country a good choice would be Oahu. This place has got white sand beaches, private villas that are luxurious, surfing sites and championship golf courses. There’s a lot About the Hale Kai Villa at Turtle Bay. Continue Reading »

After having enjoyed five full days of vacation, our family is all hyped up for our next travel destination. We are hoping to be able to do this either towards the end of the year or early next year. As I went canvassing online, I saw these great deals of must go places: Fiji Hotels, Noumea Hotels, Vanuatu Hotels and Cairns Hotels.
I know none of these are local destinations and even as our plans are all but tentative, it may help to dream bigger than usual.

While we are at it, allow me to just rethink on that Cadillac entry. The costs of luxury cars are not cheap, in fact, they are pricey. Let’s face it, some families, even those who can afford would be all too willing to get Used Cadillacs Harrisburg PA than pay for a brand new one, if only for no sub standards that usually comes with any pre-owned cars. Sutliff Cadillac gives all the more reasons for people to have this alternative. Continue Reading »

Like any regular guy, the hubby is also a car enthusiast. I used to not know anything about all those stuff he would share like some details about what he recently told me about one of his friends in a business of manufacturing parts for vehicles like Hummer. I wouldn’t have a clue what kind of vehicle that is if it were not for the years of him giving me all those vocal reviews of different cars. I used to not care less for these “big boys toys.” Not until I have seen myself driving a huge 4×4 in a daydream. I just thought it would be a nice balance to my petite frame.

If you happen to have a family who values style and comfort vehicle, then you have to check out the New Cadillacs Harrisburg PA and you will sure to pick out the Cadillac SRX in a heartbeat. Continue Reading »

It has been two weeks since our family got back from vacation. It was fun to spend approx. 250 kilometers away from the hustle and bustle of the city and just enjoy ourselves. It has been a while since we last had this and our first time to go vacationing with my folks. It could have been more fun if dear sister and her hubby were able to join us.
As soon as we got home, we made immediate plans of going up north again. The hubby and I would dream to drive up with a better car. And while at it, dreaming that is, why not dream of a hot BMW car. A great online resource for parts, accessories and BMW Chip is MyHotBMW.com. They have 24/7 phone support and great service. Feel free to visit their online store.

My father-in-law is now in the process of applying for visas for their planned trip to the U.S. and Canada where their other relatives are. This has also made me consider about renewing my passport and applying for a U.S. visa. With our church going into its 6th year of existence and still financially unable to support itself, I am hoping to be able to raise support for our church’s needs from churches in the U.S. and from brothers and sisters in Christ who can share the burden of the ministry with us.

Almost a week has passed since our Baguio trip. We are most thrilled having been able to getaway from our usual routines. But we are more thrilled that we were able to travel possibly a total of 500 kilometers (to and fro) aboard our trusty old car which honestly requires more than just a dent removal procedure.

A couple of days back the hubby handed me a Suzuki leaflet with quite an affordable downpayment and monthly schemes. Seriously with the way things are going with our finances. Being down by health and medical expenses, plus a lot of bills to pay and have settled, it is just not happening in the near future. But it sure is something to pray about even as the hubby got his legs wet again when it rained yesterday. It usually pours as well on his side of the car when it rains hard.

Who would have thought that an old car such as the California that the hubby drives can travel up to Baguio and back again? It was a total blessing that we were able travel even though this was picked from amongst other used cars several years back by our mother church. The Corolla that the hubby used to drive was no longer available for us to use in the ministry, it was his mom’s. The older car proved to be of assistance since.
Our family surely enjoyed our time up in Baguio and if I were given a choice I would pick to stay there over this city in a heartbeat. The heat and humidity really drives me crazy. One of the fun things we learned is that it is so cheap to live up there. Since produce came from there, the prices of goods are way inexpensive. We were all stunned when we were offered by vendors of 4 big heads of broccolis for PhP 35 (approx. 83cents) and a bag full of carrots for PhP10 (approx. 25cents). Plus the yummy fact that we could have all the strawberries we want at price that’s also a steal. Different regions, the same country with such diverse purchasing power for the same currency, odd huh? I know there are several factors to this. I really just can’t help but scratch my head in frustration wonder sometimes.

In our recent vacation trip to Baguio City, we visited Fort del Pilar where the Philippine Military Academy, a.k.a. PMA, is located. It was a good thing we were able to bring our Canon A620 with us and were able to capture these photos of our 3-year old son.

One of the places that has been like a must go for me and the hubby whenever we frequent Baguio (which is not very often, by the way) is Cafe by the Ruins. More than just the historical significance of the place, it’s ambiance is better than your regular cafe. I love their lemon curd crepe and the simplicity, classy feel that the place has. We chanced upon the cafe this time around when we were just going around the area. The roads in Baguio have gone crazy. We figured it was brought about by the construction of SM City. If there’s anything, they sure have conquered the place. We just had to go visit the cafe when we chanced upon it and having had our dinner already, we came in for dessert and of course some picture taking.
It was said that the place where the cafe stands used to be a pre-war residence of one of the governors of the Benguet Province. The original structure was ruined by American soldiers in pursuit of the Japanese soldiers. All that was practically left was a wall and in 1988 the present owners of the lot built a cafe themed in the very history of the place. Interesting eh? Their food is not that spectacular but the ambiance is definitely wonderful.

Our family is having a grand time here in Baguio together with my folks. We were blessed to be given the privilege to stay at a rest house of a friend of a relative. It’s a blessing because, this place being the summer capital of the Philippines can have pricey range especially it is currently the summer season. The hubby has repeatedly shared that it could be neat to have a place of our own in this cool and breezy place and maybe have it rented out during the most part of the year.
We understand that there are risks in having a place rented out, it would really be best if the place will be handled just like Rental management Chicago IL. As we have formerly rented apartments and houses in the past, we know how stressful it can be. Continue Reading »

During all those years we had to move from one place to another, we have always hired the services of the moving companies. It is just the most convenient thing to do, not to mention the safest. We were blessed to have gotten a moving company that has hired people who are professional and really good at what they do, despite the bulky items that we have. No word of complaint even when we had to transfer stuff up to the third floor and then going back down to finally transfer to our new home. Yes, we hired the same moving company since.
These days some have more than three vehicles and have practically outnumbered the number of available drivers in the family, then there goes the challenge, especially if moving from the old house to the new location will be a long distance. This is where car shipping companies come in. They provide families with state of the art carriers that are able to ship many vehicles at the same time. This will prove to be very convenient to most families in this situation.

I recently have been blogging about how stressed I am. In fact, tomorrow will be another day for me to check again with my primary doctor. I have gotten tired of “wasting” my time doing this already that I am seriously considering going on a vacation after we’re done with all these.
Browsing through the net got me into a prime site for vacation. Kauai Travel Blog has every listing in Hawaii. They mediate between all those vendors of Hawaii vacations spots and potential vacationers like myself. From having seen in videos and movies the beauty of the island, I cannot help but really pray we could make it there one day, if not anytime soon. Continue Reading »

It is a total blessing that our family need not rent anymore as we now enjoy our very own house. We are not new to renting. In fact, having rented for more than five years have given us enough experience, mostly not so good ones –from bad amenities of the house to landlady who gets really nosy.
If we’ll have no choice but to rent and we can very well afford it, we would choose Lewisburg Rental in a heartbeat. They totally redefine the rental market and makes their place feels like your own. Highest quality, with every unit that includes: Chef’s kitchen, beautiful wood floors, Kohler fixtures, radiant-heated bathroom floors, central heating and cooling, in-unit laundry facilities and energy-saving design.
