We spent this day at Ted and Rose’s place in Mohawk Street, Marikina. It was a lazy and fun day with family who are also friends. We were content. We took our barbeque stuff to their place and grilled the traditional family chicken recipe. We have done this at our folk’s place the previous years and it was the first time we did it at a different place. It was fun.
We also watched a video after lunch. We then decided to go back to barracks and spend media noche here instead. So we are back here. As usual, dinner will not be complete without our photo taken. :-) Read the rest of this entry »

How’s this award to cap 2007? Thanks Norms! On top of the list of blogs that I believe are treasure finds are: Marikenya, Manilenya, Scotty’s Princess, Joanjoyce, Jencc, Ella, Kengkay and Jessie. Some of which may not find reposting this the coolest thing, it’s their prerogative. But just so you know, in my heart I am one of your fans! God bless and Happy New Year! :-)

What would it take to be able to get through classes that would require several papers to pass? More often than not, students settle for the mediocre and just get through the requirements, but would they want to do better? I would like to believe that most do. Read the rest of this entry »

Endless rows of seafoods galore line up the dampa place in Marikina Riverbanks – across the river from Save More Building. I’m not really sure what that place is called but it sure did look like your regular “dampa” resto. The five of us, Rose, Ted and us three (Jeff, me and Jed) paid that place a visit as our good friend, Chie, highly recommended for us to check it out. Read the rest of this entry »

I met a close college friend a few years back whom I haven’t seen in a long time. He contacted me to help legitimize his business here in the country. He made websites and generated income from them. He was able to acquire several properties through his business. Read the rest of this entry »

Talking about insurances, I can not count the number of times anymore how much I have maximized our healthcare insurance benefits. It is to the current generation’s advantage how we can choose straight from the net the variety of options of getting lower hospitalization insurance, highest deductible insurance plans, and hosts of healthcare insurance options.

It is wise to get a hold of a medical insurance coverage, whether personal or for your family, to say the least. In the long run, it will really be for your own benefit. My family is currently covered and this is something that we will always be thankful for.

The uncertainties of life makes us want to take reasonable control of it. I have always felt the need to be prepared in several things in life even as I have personally encountered and attended insurance seminars through the bank I used to work in and several other entities. In this photo are my father, mother, dear sister Rose, her husband Ted and the three of us (Jeff, me and Jed). Everyone agreed when I asked dear Jeff to get the tripod ready for the perfect photo op even as we were all dressed up for the wedding that Jeff will then later officiate in Mango Farm. An article in the Philippine Star today mentions that Bethlehem, the birthplace of Jesus, is preparing for tens of thousands of pilgrims this season. But interestingly, Jesus was not called Jesus of Bethlehem but Jesus of Nazareth. His growing up years in this region, which currently needs social and economic improvements, is part of Nazareth history. I wonder how it would be like to be in the places our Savior went to, places like Bethlehem, Nazareth, Jerusalem, and the sea of Galilee. It is really a dream of ours to go to Israel. :-)
