Marikina Dampa Place

Endless rows of seafoods galore line up the dampa place in Marikina Riverbanks - across the river from Save More Building. I’m not really sure what that place is called but it sure did look like your regular “dampa” resto. The five of us, Rose, Ted and us three (Jeff, me and Jed) paid that place a visit as our good friend, Chie, highly recommended for us to check it out.

It was seven days before Christmas and we were all cozy and good, although, I should admit, the place could be better. But it was good enough for me, considering the price and they actually offer great food. Although their Blue Marlin “kinilaw” would have been better if it was a tad milder. I love their baked clams. And they offer it for only fifty bucks a pop! That’s ten gloriously sumptuous cheesy buttery nicely baked clams! :-)

Now, I’m not sure if that would be like a permanent place or the place would also go even as the holidays fade out. Maybe I would have to ask my good friend, Marikenya, our friendly neighborhood Marikina expert. And ask her while we’re at it, what that place is really called. :-)

We look forward to going back and yet again down great and affordable eats. We hope to bring our folks with us next time. I’m hoping that it would be real soon. But I doubt that to be. I have to say this holiday has been the busiest for us and our family. A wedding every week and just a couple of hours ago, Jed’s brand new cousin is welcomed to the world. We are all thrilled! These events are all milestones we feel privileged to witness. Celebrations are really in its galore level these days. :-)
