Turning 40 did not just welcome me into presbyopia world, it was also the literal turning point of a lot of things happening in my body I never dreamed of feeling so clueless over. It was also around this time when what used to be clockwork regular period got delayed once or twice a year. When you’ve had your period that regular since menarche, that would be really alarming. At some point, I even hoped to have been pregnant again! Haha! True story.
This started 4 years ago. I have since had to deal with a host of other health issues including dry skin and ultra brittle nails. Having drier skin doesn’t bother me a lot, since the humidity plays a great deal in why we’re still for the most part, still moisturized. I know I need to lotion up, just way too lazy to add it to the routine. Plus, again, the humidity. It’s good that summer isn’t fully showing it’s scorching face just yet. But when it does, it makes using lotions just way too greasy for me.
This is exactly what happens upon every single attempt. No exception.
Don’t get started with my nail story, they grow just a few millimeters from the nail bed, and they either split or break on the sides, and it’s just awfully painful when it breaks right around the nail bed (as it does a lot of times). Can I just say, I’m awfully tired of this nail issue. It has gone beyond aesthetics, to be completely honest. I mean, I can seriously live without sporting French nails ever again, I just need the chipping and the splitting to stop. 🙁
Imagine my delight when I was asked by my childhood friend, Frances, to try Wolvit Biotin! I have always loved this girl, but I never thought her challenge to try Wolvit will address my seemingly trivial “felt need.” I was truly willing to try anything. I’ve tried countless of collagen supplements to no avail. When nails keep doing what they’re doing, it becomes pretty conspicuous and easy to see what works and what doesn’t.
And so Wolvit Biotin since became a beautiful addition to the supplements I take on a daily basis! Look how they literally add color to my daily regimen. 🙂
Going about my daily grind, to “wait and see,” might be a wee bit too long for some, but not for me. I’m pretty busy all day, everyday. With the house to take care of, my Live Longga micro business, the online class I’m enrolled in, and my online business, I literally have no time to get bored.
The days turned into weeks, weeks into months. And I am truly surprised at how my nails grew without their former splitting issues. For a while, I thought, “No, this can’t be! It can’t work this fast in such short a time!” So silly ol’ me waited for my nails to split after a day or two. But nah! Woohoo!!!
I almost cried when after a month and a half I realized my nails have grown this long! I would, if I could, sport my good ‘ol pretty French nails, but talked myself out of it. Read: house chores 🙂 But it’s nice to know that I can now, choose to have one, on a whim, when I want to.
And while I was not really expecting for my hair to improve in any way, I have noticed the considerable lessening of hair fall, measured by virtue of Jeff not having to unclog the bathtub drain as often (weekly) as before. Haha! That’s just something that’s hard not to notice. My locks have also grown considerably thicker. That’s just from 2 months of use! Woah!
I realized too late that this shot looks a lot like that influencer’s spooky engagement viral post minus the ring. Ha! I didn’t turn on the light in the room here, that’s why. 😛 But check out how long my nails are now! Waaah! I cannot be more thrilled! If this isn’t proof of how good Wolvit Biotin is, I truly don’t know what is. I’m one grateful soul!
Now as my family has recently switched to being Pescatarian from being Vegans before 2019 ended, I did try my best to “let food be our medicine.” I did look into foods rich in Biotin.
Biotin-rich foods that we have in our current diet: fish, salmon, tuna, organic eggs, fruits, vegetables, sweet potatoes, spinach, broccoli, banana, apple, nuts and grains, oats, whole wheat breads. Truth be told, while we have these in our usual diet, my nails issue was only addressed when I supplemented with Wolvit.
Here’s more of what Wolvit Biotin is
Wolvit (Biotin 5mg) is the vitamin for beautiful and healthy hair, skin and nails.
Biotin is a vitamin that belongs to the “B complex vitamins” group. Like other B vitamins, it helps your body to convert food into energy. Having healthy amount of biotin is associated with having: glossy hair, glowing skin
sturdy and beautiful nails.
If you aren’t getting enough biotin, you may experience hair loss, scaly red skin rashes or bristled nails. You’re probably already getting the daily recommended amount of biotin from the food you eat. But if you’d like to increase your intake, you can add more biotin-rich foods into your diet. Or you can take over-the-counter biotin supplements like Wolvit (Biotin 5 mg). Take at least 5,000 micrograms a day (5 mg) everyday.
Benefits of Wolvit Biotin
- Rejuvenates the skin by hydrating and moisturizing it from within.
- Strengthens hair shafts and restore hair texture.
- Helps thicken nail cuticles and prevent breakage.
What I love most about Wolvit Biotin aside from its being effective, is its affordability. At only P225 for a box of 30, this makes it an easy no-brainer for us budget-conscious mommas. An easy addition to my self-care kit, if you may. Because I am better able to care for my family, when I don’t feel brittle (nails) and bald (hair). It gives this mama some sense of victory over what used to bog me down. There’s some sense of power to using my nails doing some otherwise trivial household thing, without my nails getting broken like they used to, that much I can say. 🙂
Wolvit Biotin is available at major drugstores nationwide, and on nearly every mom’s favorite online stores Shopee and Lazada.
