The Gallery Features Upcycle Artist Jevie Pagaguitan
Upcycle artist Jevie Pagaguitan transforms The Gallery into a beautiful garden complete with prosperity trees made of upcycled materials. Chinese merchants selling feng shui items, paintings and Chinese delicacies can be seen which creates a feel of Little Chinatown.
Another masterpiece by Jevie Pagpaguitan is the Plum Blossoms. The materials Sir Jevie used in this upcycled work are: plastic bottles, round head fasteners, pvc pipes, large basin, other scrap materials, painted in acrylic.
The plum blossoms has been an important symbol in the Chinese culture. It represents the value of endurance, as life ultimately overcomes through the vicissitude of time, it being coined as the “friend of winter.” The fragrance of the plum blossoms “comes from the bitterness and coldness,” as the Chinese saying goes, “Souls are tempered in the depth of experience, growing in inner strength and unyielding courage.
