Advocate of Wellness, Eleanor Rivera of Healing Present and Author of Organic Divine Gorgeous Recipes to a Passionate Cook presented about her sanctuary in Cebu, which she aptly called, “Healing Present & Nature Farm,” after Matthias Gelber shared a great deal too about living a “greener” lifestyle.
If you happen to follow Marriage and Beyond for a while now, you know this is what I’ve been trying to do as I’ve successfully transitioned our family towards living a “greener” lifestyle. Although we are not 100% vegetarian, we have not bought pork for over a year now. I season with only pepper and sea salt (if I ran out of Himalayan), Cayenne pepper. I garnish my veggie viand with crunchy organic mushroom for texture. Our son often “steals” the crunchy mushroom before I dunk it to the viand, but I don’t mind. I love it enough that I have steered them clear of the usual ground pork or anything pork that usually came with our viands. We also have been having black rice, after finding out that it doesn’t have the problematic toughness of brown rice. I often don’t have the luxury of waiting 30 minutes before I turn the flame on. We still do devour on frequent bulalo. We’ve learned that beef bone marrow is plenty healthy. I’d have to ask Ms. Eleanor about this the next time I see her. 🙂

Organic Divine Gorgeous Recipes to a Passionate Cook
Ms. Eleanor Rivera first introduced her limited edition cookbook. The cookbook teaches how to create invigorating feasts. It provides breakfast, lunch and dinner questions with over 200 pages of unforgettable appetizers, delightful entrees soup, salads, smoothies and desserts.
The food you eat can be either the safest and the most powerful form of medicine or the slowest form of poison. ~Ann Wigmore
Here’s a short clip on what the book is about.
And to give us a taste of how truly delightful her smoothies are, she just didn’t have us take her word for it. She made one for us. I’m not sure what she calls it, but it was the yummiest organic smoothie I’ve had in all my smoothie drinking years! Although it’s not as constant as I want it, but we’ve been juicing for years using Matstone juicer, then recently with an Electrolux Silent Blender.
Sharing some of my IG posts on this:
Harvested a bunch of #basil leaves and made my own #homemade #gourmet #pesto spread. A runaway winner with @jedzachary as he begged to have it for breakfast, lunch and merienda. Then he had it again for breakfast the next day. Addict lang. ? Thank you tons, Ella, for the basil pots you gave. Praying they thrive and multiply whenever I water them. ?
I am happy enough that unlike before, I now have access to organic produce through Robinson’s Supermarket. Admittedly though, there are herbs that are just way too scarce. My mother-in-law once gave me a pot of “Damong Maria” (artemisia vulgaris) but it died on me, alongside my other potted herbs.
This was the smoothie Eleanor gave us. I know it doesn’t look too attractive, but its taste was refreshingly delicious, sweetened by nothing but frozen ripened bananas. I wanted more but the line was long.
Available at the Healing Present Market Farm
These are just few of the vegetables and herbs available at the Healing Present Farm Market. I browsed through the site and I’m plenty curious about their organic skin care offerings.
dS Cafe serves our favorite Barako coffee! You can also have it with glutathione and collagen. Eleanor Rivera’s signature juices will soon be available in dS Cafe. I can’t wait!

I was beyond grateful to have been able to attend this Wellness event hosted by Diana Stalder in Megamall. As my family have already bought our plane fare to celebrate our 20th anniversary in Cebu early next year, I take this as a reason why we haven’t booked a hotel just yet. We usually get booked a year early just so to make sure our accommodation is secured. I’ve since been getting the hubby convinced to consider for us to visit the Healing Present Nature & Wellness Farm. Or I can otherwise bribe him into giving this to me as my 40th birthday gift. Haha! 🙂
Also present during the event were clients who Eleanor helped at the Healing Present. Testimonials of cured illnesses, even cancer. There were even couples who had fertility issues that were addressed. I’m not sure if this is going to apply with us still since we’re well into our middle years. But who knows? Eleanor did mention about having hope in our issue of secondary infertility. Yes, even at my age!
Present during the Wellness event were Luca who designed a lamp powered by solar energy, Ms. Earth Quezon City Jan Louise Abejero, The Green Man Matthias Gelber, Diana and Dina Stalder and Eleanor Rivera.

Retreat Schedule Open Slots
The Healing Present Nature & Wellness Farm has the following open slots for retreat schedule for July 2016: July 19, 20, 21, 22 and July 25, 26, 27, 28.
Thank you Diana Stalder for championing with Eleanor Rivera this wellness advocacy. It’s impressive for a skin care clinic to advocate organic and holistic wellness. I’m looking forward to learning more as I tread along this wellness path I’m only so eager to know more of. Feel free to browse through HealingPresent.org to learn more about what the nature & wellness farm has to offer.
