It was a #DelightfulE Yummy Kitchen Class Weekend

Saturdates are always something Jeff and I look forward to. Last week’s started off with Electrolux’s Delighful-E Yummy Kitchen Class. For someone who spends hours upon hours every week in the kitchen preparing for my family’s meal, I love to learn more to add variety to my usual kitchen prowess. Haha!

The Delightful-E Yummy Kitchen Class was jump started by Nutritionist Ms. Carmela Taob, who gave us valuable tips on how to pick the freshest produce, fish and meat from the market. It is the first step to guarantee a nutrient-packed meal for the family.  She also introduced the Electrolux NutriFresh™ refrigerator is equipped with NutriLight, a system of patented LED lights that helps improve and retain the vitamin content of your food by simulating sunlight. Talk about innovation right in the fridge to keep our food inside fresh longer.

Janice Villanueva’s Green Smoothies

This demo by Janice Villanueva officially got me convinced to turn from juicing to blending. I have been juicing for a few years now. Although my juicer is a monster of a juicer and the most efficient in the market, I believe, I still think that the fiber that goes with the pulp that gets dumped is a waste. Yes, it took me years to realize that. Right from Janice’s demonstration, I have used the hubby’s Electrolux Silent Blender mother’s day gift every single day since. I totally love its silent feature and its ability to grind my fruits and veggies finely.

bento box making couple

Hubby and I got busy with our first ever bento boxes!  I have seen bento boxes  flooding my social media feeds here and there and I always thought it was a lot of work. Therefore, I have no time for. But it sure is so much fun to do! Especially when Jeff and I snuck to pop a fruit piece (or two) in our mouths, just because they were too inviting to ignore. Haha! Another reason bento boxing might never be my cup of tea. But I now so understand why bento boxes are highly recommended for children who are picky eaters. I am eternally grateful that my son isn’t. He eats practically everything I serve him, sometimes he’d go on guessing as I am about to start preparing the ingredients for cooking.

Jeff did a great job on his bento box (L). That is one fierce-looking beary pandesal right there! Mine is the one on the right.

Thank you Mommy Lourdes for the Bento Box Making demo! Although I do not exactly see myself doing this on a regular basis, I think it is something fun my little guy and I can do from time to time.

Jeff and I had so much fun kitchen bonding at the Delightful-E Yummy Kitchen Class! As Andrea Pionilla, Marketing Manager of Electrolux Philippines said, The kitchen is the heart of the homeCulinary enjoyment is not only about dining over a gastronomic feast; bonding moments with the family while preparing even a simple meal takes it to a different level.” To know more about Delightful-E Yummy campaign, visit www.facebook.com/thelittlewhitebook or follow @ElectroluxPH on Twitter and Instagram.
