My Mother’s Day Radio Interview via Radyo Inquirer @DZIQ990 ‘s Usapang Patok Program

When I received an email from Len Montaño of Radyo Inquirer DZIQ requesting for an interview in line with their Usapang Patok Program Mother’s Day episode, I was not really sure what to make of it. First, because it was slated during my son’s 8th birthday, we will have a little party to celebrate with his friends and our loved ones. Thus, it will be the worse day to accommodate an interview. Second, since I am not exactly provided with a list of questions so that I might be  prepared somehow, I was not too sure. I tend to stutter a lot when I’m nervous (making blogging the best avenue for me really) and I don’t want any of that live on air! Haha! I can almost see myself out of sorts from all the party preparations and busyness of its overall ongoings. And remember, I have been with no helper for quite a while now.

But then again, I thought it was a good opportunity to promote Marriage and Beyond, which is where the lovely people of DZIQ found me to begin with. I forgot to do that anyway, since half the time, the birthday boy was at my back wanting to speak to the radio hosts. One of them was Jet Claveria, so when my son heard the main host (hubby and the rest of the people in the house were listening on the radio downstairs), Len hollering on Jet, my birthday boy thought they were asking for him. 🙂

I shared on Twitter that same day about my son’s radio interview debut (all but a few seconds) on his 8th birthday. 🙂

Thank you, Len and the wonderful people of your radio program for that 22 minute of airtime you spent on me on Mother’s Day and for the mp3 file you sent upon my request. Dear readers, Usapang Patok airs every Saturday, from 6PM to 8PM over DZIQ 990 AM Radyo Inquirer.

I was meaning to blog about this sooner but I had to figure out a way to upload a huge mp3 audio file. I tried different media including m-audio fast track from musicians friend. 4Shared finally worked. Yay! Feel free to listen on some of my thoughts about motherhood. Please know that it is never my intention to offend anyone. As for my husband and me, this is our resolve and our conviction. This is what works for us in the parenting department. This verse I also shared during the interview…

Train up a child in the way he should go;
even when he is old he will not depart from it. Prov. 22:6

Belated Happy Mother’s Day to all moms out there! And for the record, I have the best mother in the whole wide world!  It did take me a while to realize that. The Lord has been gracious to allow me to see that before it was too late. She blogs via InMySolitude.info, if you still do not know. Of the two of us, she is the better writer. 🙂

I have grown to leaf through my Mama’s folder upon folders of outgoing and incoming letters (ooops! we had no file cabinet vault yet that time) which she, in her OC-kind of way used to file accordingly and I remember thinking, if I become half the kind of writer that she is, then I’m good. It was also through her writings that I got to know the person behind the very burdened woman that I have witnessed her to be. I pray for my mother every single day for the Lord to bless her all the days of her life and for her to live long and healthy years, a couple more scores, if God wills it.  I love you Mudrabelle!   😀
