Book Review: Healing is a Choice by Steve Arterburn

The first book I read authored by Steve Arterburn was “Every Man’s Battle.” It is a highly recommended book. It was about Winning the War on Sexual Temptation One Victory at a Time. And because Steve Arterburn has made such an impact to my husband and me, I grabbed a hold of the chance of reviewing another book of his, “Healing is a Choice,”  from Thomas Nelson when I got the chance.

Since 200 words will not suffice for a review of Steve Arterburn’s Healing is a Choice,” I will try to be as concise as I can. I recently learned that I should not go beyond 200 words when reviewing books I receive from Thomas Nelson. Aside from the author being a favorite, I have to confess picking this book amongst the different available titles was brought about by my sincere curiosity of the sure valuable insights Steve will share on healing.

What I generally love about Steve Arterburn books is that all the principles he shares are strongly backed by scripture verses. Arterburn talked about the 10 Lies that we have to refuse and the 10 Choices that we need to make to allow ourselves to completely heal from whatever it is that is hurting us. Just like “Every Man’s Battle,” Steve got the message across on every single point in a way that makes it very practical for readers who will come across the book. Healing is a Choice, in its profundity was very insightfully written. A book I highly recommend to those who have reached the fire pits of hurting and are having a hard time processing their emotions and come to a complete healing.

Disclosure: I received this book from Thomas Nelson Publishing for review purposes. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
