One of the wisest men that ever lived once wrote, “A good name is more desirable than great riches; to be esteemed is better than silver or gold.” (Proverbs 22:1) A family name is important most especially the reputation that it carries with it. Politicians understand this, especially those who pass their political leadership on to their children and grandchildren. Even businessmen respect the offspring coming from the line of business tycoons’ families. So, what King Solomon wrote was true. The family name and it’s good reputation really is worth more than any riches. In many cases, the name is what brings the riches in.
