Life is Full of Gratitude

I got tagged by Hailey and PinayMama with this meaningful meme a couple of weeks back. Thanks for your patience, girls! 😉

One of the reasons why it took a while for me to post this, is the fact that there are quite a handful of things in life I am very grateful for and to just roll it into one list can be a real task.

  • God’s unconditional love – regardless of my circumstance, He has truly remained faithful. (I can be faithless sometimes.)

  • My Jeff – you are God’s manifestation of His love for me. Thank you for loving me beyond my faults. You have consistently put me above yourself and I know I just complain too much sometimes. I’m sorry. I love you with all my being and I pray that even as our marriage turns seven years old, I would be a better wife/lover/friend to you. Better by the year, every time. I don’t know where I’d be without you.

  • My son – you have made me understand the value behind bringing up a child. I intend to parent you the way the Lord has called me to. I pray that you grow up to your full potential, after God’s own heart, just like David.
  • My family of origin – ours might not have been the perfect family. There is no such thing. But know that even as I grew up with a rather defensive facade, in my heart I have loved you and am thankful for all the support and love you have given me. Although I have always wished we were more demonstrative.

  • My bestfriend, Gina – right from grade school and up to college I’ve had countless of girl friends and called them bestfriends. But the truth of the matter is, I have not known the true meaning of it until the Lord has gifted me with your friendship. Thank you so much for your love and support. How I love you my bestfriend and I miss so much.

  • Church family, friends from all over (virtual and not) – you know who you are. Thanks for the comfort your friendships have been to my heart.

In order to be able to achieve and maintain happiness we need to, actively, be able to do two things: Complain and then let go (Dump the baggage, the roadblocks to happiness.) Express Gratitude (The open expression of gratitude promotes happiness.) After all everyone has something to be grateful for and/or something to complain about. If you would like to share, please follow the appropriate link and do so: “Are You Grateful?”, “Complain Complain Complain.”
