Three weeks and some since typhoon Ondoy and we’re still picking up the pieces, so to speak. My son and I are back homeschooling. Some important documents, birth and marriage certificates, policies like that of the online life insurance that we recently availed, are all dry now but I wonder how we could ever get rid of the stench.

As we get our lives back to normal, we thank God for every single day and for Him staying true to His word of not having us want. We recently attended SM Mega Atrium’s launch and we so enjoyed the play of colors in its lovely ceiling. Although life has its ability to drag us down by its circumstance, we choose to remain grateful and appreciative of things around us.

Taken a couple of days back when the hubby saw our son making silly faces while he was drinking his milk from the cup. He loves playing pretend (sad, happy, angry, et.al). This time he was experimenting with frowning while raising his right brow and then the left. It helps that I always have our camera within reach. I wasn’t even able to properly set the camera correctly, I just had to click away.

Another shot of the hubby’s – definitely one of my favorites. You see how he played with the curves of the structure on that simple playground? No photoshop needed for this one, thank you. This is one of his first few shots when our now oldie camera was brand new. There probably were a couple of cat trees behind that slide that he managed to hide without having to displace them.

Another shot of the hubby’s. He took this while he, along with the team, was waiting to board the plane. You must have noticed by now that I really can’t go wordless most of the time. Thus these words. The next photo in queue is that of the take home gift he gave to our son. It’s one of those Cebu Pacific’s toy plane that he bought from a flight attendant while they were aboard. It was so easy to mistake it as one of those promotional items because of the brand and all. That’s up and coming…

Another shot of the hubby’s many attempts at photography. He took this while they were aboard, in transit to Palawan. I still have got much to learn in grabbing this kind of compositions. I tend to carelessly snap shots of everything I fancy, not thinking much how aperture and shutter speed should be set for a particular shot. I’m learning even as I would have him critic the shots that I take.

This is the last plant that remains from amongst the six plants I took home from our trip to Baguio last May. And what is so surprising is that this plant is a lemon pine tree. I never knew a pine tree could ever thrive in such humid and tropical climate. Apparently this lemon pine tree wards off mosquitoes. Perfect to have it stand in the corner of our main door.

Without our taking note of it, these shirts have really been a favorite to the both of us.  I just keep finding pictures of the both of us donned in the same shirts.  It’s probably about time to get another uniform.  Striped designed shirts this time perhaps. 

It has been a couple of weeks since the world celebrated Father’s Day and this entry is a delayed one all right, but still worthy to be posted. I ran across this shot as I was going through my files this morning. The tons of photos that we have are eating up and slowly consuming the 80gb disk space of my trusty laptop. I am actually considering the hubby’s proposal to get ourselves another external hard drive. I used to have photos and files burnt to dvd, but it was too late when I found out this kind of backing up does not work. We lost our photo files from the year 2004 to 2007. It’s sad and I will do anything to get the files restored. Our disc clinic won’t even do the trick.

This shot was taken in one of my father’s all time favorite restaurants.   Ever since I can remember, it will always be his restaurant of choice,  that if that place would hold a Ristorante Contest, he would easily win effortlessly. He never gets tired of going back to this place right from when we were little. Our family has grown bigger. It used to be just the four of us: Mama, Papa, my sister and me. Now there are seven of us and boys have finally outnumbered the girls.

This little guy loves getting things done and helping me out around the house.  I call him my little handy boy.   He would always ask me, albeit sometimes at annoying level (especially if I’m busy working), if he could help me with anything.  He’s a doll. A ken doll to me.  :-)

One of the shots from yesterday’s outreach event the hubby led together with his team via Breaking Point Foundation International. These are Santolan High School students. A total of 431 out of the 1,860 students professed to have accepted Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior! Praise God! The angels must be having a blast partying in heaven. This coming Friday, the team is off to Gen.Pio del Pilar High School in Makati.
