As soon as the hubby got hold of tickets for LA Galaxy and Philippine Azkal’s Friendly Game set on December 3, 2011, we immediately inquired about the Football Clinic that LA Galaxy is holding  the day before.  After learning that only the first 150 children would be accommodated, there was practically no deliberation. It was to be an experience of a lifetime. Yes, we are probably more excited than the little guy. Haha!  Registration cost is P14,000/head, which is inclusive of LA Galaxy equipment (jersey, shorts, snacks and a soccer bag).

Although the LA Galaxy Football Clinic might not sound very cheap, I think with what’s included in the package plus the two chaperones who are allowed totally justify the cost.  And it’s the LA Galaxy Football Club for crying out loud! It’s the cost we pay for being with the top team. How often do we get the chance to be with David Beckham, Landon Donovan and Robbie Keane anyway? Yes, we’re pretty stoked! We actually have a couple of wedding invitations and a Christmas party/reunion that we had to turn down for this.

Aside from the football clinic, we are also watching the Friendly Game live at the Rizal Memorial Football Stadium on December 3, 2011. We actually bought two extra tickets for the match, which I think we are going to sell for the same price we got them for.  We We bought our tickets for the LA Galaxy vs. Philippine Azkals match via Ticketworld.

If you do not have self-discipline, then use cash or debit card instead. I am happy to report that every single cent on our billing statement gets paid in full every month. It is the only way you can do to make the interest rate NOT work against you.  This works for us even as we get away from having to pay annual fees because of our good credit standing with them.

When our son got at least a couple of board games for Christmas last year, I thought they were to be left in the corner of his room for a few more years. That is until our five year old himself showed me the label from the box that the Monopoly Jr. is for the 5 year old and up.

It turns out I underestimated him. Our son’s being restless and playful somehow got me to think that he might not last a while sitting through the game. I cannot be more wrong. Apparently, it was our son who has kind of set a family game night as he became hooked to playing Monopoly Jr. for a while. He read through the instructions himself and got on to being the banker, collects, distributes the money allotted for each player like a pro in no time. He was a natural!

With my home-based work and the plateful of things I do on a daily basis, it can be hard to draw the line when to stop and just spend time with the family. Our family game time, which something that our son ever so looks forward to, at least twice a week, allows for us to strike that balance between working and family bonding time, which should really be of utmost priority.

It was with Monopoly Jr. that our son learned to apply his Math.  Since there was not a chance yet at his age for him to buy stuff for himself, the Monopoly game allowed for him to learn as we go along.

We have to be more careful though, because those ticket booths stray when we kind of get overwhelmed with the tickling intermission that we sometimes have in between too. But we’re not worried. Because we can be pretty territorial. We somehow learned the art of memorizing which our respective properties are. I especially love that Monopoly Jr. is designed to be played long enough to hold a child’s attention span.

Although we are not exactly all against game consoles, (our Wii and xbox360 will prove that) board games are still the best for us. The interaction that game consoles can’t give us, the board game can.

Family Game Nights allow us to teach our son good sportsmanship. Our son used to have this tendency of wanting to win every single game. But we had to teach him that life does not work that way and losing is not all that bad. The face to face interaction that board games allow for family to have is priceless. It just is! As much as we love technological innovations, it has this tendency to rob us from nurturing real relationships, not just the virtual ones.

Then there is also our church family. Here is one of the shots my husband took during one of their after J@M Evaluation and planning meetings. Our church’s (www.sbcmakati.org) JIVE Youth group has a monthly outreach event and my husband gathers the youth leaders the day after for assessment. They also make it a point to have a breather like having fun time playing Guesstures over pizza in between evals and plannings.

The corner of our humble church is witness to not just meetings but also fun bonding times with the young people that have stepped up in the ministry and are now making an impact as they reach out to the younger generation.

And last Saturday, I had a real fun time with fellow parent bloggers at The Borough playing Taboo. It was my first time to play it and even if I totally flunked during the first round. I have kind of gotten around how it works as we went along. It was too fun that I am set to get one in time for Christmas.  It was a real blessing for us to know that there is now a local company that distributes Hasbro board games – Color Mix Corporation.

I remember all the trouble we had to go through trying to look for Guesstures in toy stores years ago. A month from now the hubby will  watch UFC 111 live stream online. I am married to a very sport minded man, that’s for sure. UFC might not be my favorite thing. In fact, when were still dating, I used to cringe whenever he watches these types of shows. But after of being together for more than a decade, these are just one of the things I would have to live with and accept.

He is now busy searching for working link for him to be able to watch UFC 111 live streaming. There is no way we can buy tickets and watch from where we are and now that we have decided to be cable free, no PPV as well too. So UFC 111 live streaming video it is.

So, I did not choose to brave the Bungee Fun attraction at Eastwood. I am too much of a coward like that. But what I was able to  do was cover comprehensively, each and every blogger participant’s bungee experience. Seeing all these shots just makes me want to consider trying it out. But from how my stomach churned just watching them last Friday, I am pretty sure I will still be all good at taking pictures next time. Unlike the hubby, I am not very adventurous.

Who would have thought an attraction such as this will fit in what might as well be a packed place, Eastwood City already is.  It is located right smack across Pho Hoa, near Jack’s Loft and Dulcinea, which I think is very strategic.  People will just have to stop and watch such bungee fun.  This is exactly what happened when one girl went flipping and flopping in the air, with her crazy somersaults and fun air dancing.

I’ve always known Earth to be an adventurous girl and last Friday was another affirmation of that when she went to be the first one to brave the heights. It was crazy. I was pretending all the while that it’s not scary, but all the denials when crushing down on me, when I heard Earth herself gush and squeal her lungs out begging her to be let down.  But I saw she had fun nonetheless.  She’s really just one brave soul.

Here is dear hubby who has been ecstatic throughout the day. Ever anticipating the bungee fun he’s gonna have before the day ended.  I saw a little disappointment on his face when we found out it wasn’t the real bungee thing.  He did have a great time though, as I saw him doing his somersaults in the air like a real acrobat! I just thought right there over again that I did marry a crazy guy and I love him to bits.

This certainly gives us yet another reason to go back to spending family days in Eastwood.  This is where Jeff “formally” asked me to marry him in 2001 and now that the “city” is made even more exciting – no signs of wavering in that aspect, despite the years, I think even our little guy will have a grand time just strolling around, maybe even try out Bungee Fun himself.

Between the two of us, Jeff is the one who is more conscious of how his weight, his love handles, etc. He doesn’t believe in build muscles fast programs, though. Instead he does it the “old school” way. He does 40 push ups a day, for one. Runs when he can and plays football.  For now is it the 40 push ups that he is able to do regularly.  His schedule is pretty packed that he can’t squeeze running anymore.  But he does when he can. He’s joining the team again this weekend and I hope that their team makes it again.

Airsoft Green Gas for Airsoft Gas Guns

When you look at the most popular options on the market, airsoft gas guns are some of the biggest sellers. And that makes good sense because the guns have plenty of benefits, including being affordable and fairly powerful. As you might imagine, they also need to have their gas containers replaced after you expend a specific number of shots. The best explanation is that the green gas airsoft gun is more powerful than the more traditional type of gas that is used. That’s because the traditional gas used in most of the models just can’t stand up to that type of weather. As a result, you could be in the middle of a match or of target practice then have your gas pistol just stop working as it should. That’s not going to be a problem if you’re using the HFC22. However, you do have to be worried about the opposite problem: the green variety of gas can’t withstand high temperatures. In some climates, therefore, you might need to use both types and switch between seasons.

Of course, you don’t want to start purchasing airsoft green gas until you know a few other facts. First, you can’t use this product with every type of airsoft gas gun on the market. The Japanese models, in particular, just were not designed for this stronger gas. You really need to stick with the HFC134a variety with them. Otherwise, you could do some major damage to the equipment. The best way to find out if it’s safe or not is to read your instruction manual or to ask a knowledgeable customer service representative.

Now there are some airsoft firearms on the market that were actually created for use with green gas airsoft gun. If you really want to use this product, those are going to be a good choice, although they usually do cost more than your average airsoft gas guns. Remember that they can still be damaged if you use them and this type of gas in very hot conditions. You may still need to switch back and forth between the two types to meet the needs of your climate.

After a couple of months of not being able to play soccer because of so many things on his plate, the hubby was able to join his team, Marikina United last night as they played against Lourdes highschool’s varsity team during a tune up game. Marikina United won: 5-4. Yey!

The hubby and I were married three years before we were blessed with a son. During those first years of married bliss one of the favorite things we enjoyed doing together is going to the spa. The hubby is the most athletic 33 year old that I have ever come across with. He always feels sluggish and gets tired easily whenever he misses his workouts at Marikina Sports Park. There is just this need for him to go run miles. He comes back refreshed and energized. For that I admire him more.

Remember my quest to being healthier this 2009, which defines that I do my part of working out even via my ever reliable game console? I have quit for a month now. I just cannot get myself to go back to the exercising routine. With the schedule crammed up, there is just no way I could squeeze it in. I know it is so easy to find all the excuses in the world. Maybe I really have got to do some soul searching especially about this matter. I remember feeling so much better, physically, whenever I do my workouts. My back is starting to hurt again like before.

But before that, I think I have got to pull the hubby again to get me a pair of running shoes. For some reason, whenever we go to sports depot, I just won’t find the pair that suits me, or atleast the one that I would really like to wear for some time. I think my tiny feet look awful when I try on bulky shoes. The ones for me are those hard to find shoes that are fit for tiny ladies like me. Yay! The hubby recently got a new domain for his football blog- http://www.footballvideosandpictures.com. This blog is his favorite among the handful of others that he maintains. He has around seven blogs, most of which utilize wordpress themes. Jeff is so much into the sport, that during the Euro2008, I would even catch him watching live stream via the net in the wee hours of the morning. He is so passionate about it, he blogs about it effortlessly. We recently just found out that even the Reuters republishes some of his posts with a link back to his site. We’re not really sure if that’s okay, but figured since they provided a backlink, then that was fine. He may have actually generated traffic from it. A number of our family members are certified tennis fans. The hubby also likes tennis, although soccer tops his list. If I got it right their all time favorites are the sisters Serena and Venus Williams. Whenever tournaments are scheduled to go live, the boob tube will never cease playing games after games from Wimbledon. The thing is they cannot do that anymore with the cable subscription terminated last month, we just have had enough of their lousy service. Anyway, I think it will delight my folks to know that they can continue to watch Wimbledon LIVE via MediaZone. What’s more is they even get to pick which of the matches they want to watch and even back track to previous matches of years before. Awesome, huh?

Tomorrow, our son will be celebrating his birthday and will be turning three years old. I’m glad that during the first few months before and after his birth my wife had made an online journal in her previous blog (which she eventually transferred to this site).
