Sure there are a lot of worries I could very well dwell on, but I choose to look at these wonderful things:

The number seven item of my previous Friday-Fill Ins entry reads that I was anticipating a movie time with the hubby Friday night and a date the night after. Well, both did not happen. He was so tired when he got home Friday. He had to to go to our church in Makati and another church in Novaliches to return the sound systems that were used in their last mission’s trip to Palawan. Saturday wasn’t a good time as well. There were just lots of things that needed to be done.

1. The last meal I had at a restaurant was a seafood pasta.

2. A stinkin’ dog  is something I intensely dislike.

3. The full moon does not indicate a night of the lunatics or even of werewolves and vampires.  A full moon is something you can actually behold and be amazed over – another creation of God’s own hands (words rather – He created everything at His command)

4. Oh my, Siomai! (not very local, but that’s really a favorite that I think my little guy has picked up from me)  is one of my favorite local expressions.

5. Sometimes it’s best to keep silent (which I often struggle with, especially if I believe I am right. But I am happy to report that I have been victorious in few instances).

6. Kung Fu Panda  is the best movie I’ve seen so far this year!

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I’m looking forward to a movie time with the hubby, tomorrow my plans include a night out with the hubby again and Sunday, I want to spend the whole day at church! (is it obvious enough that I have missed the love of my life in almost four days we spent apart when he was in Palawan?!) :D

A rather late entry. I knew since Saturday that this week’s theme is “dark” but there was nothing in my photo file that matches. Having no access to our good ‘ol trusty A620 (the hubby brought it to Palawan w/him), I just browsed through some captures from my VGA clamshell. I figured since I know nothing of tweaking, I might as well get this posted as is – in the raw. This shot was taken in the dark.  I love how my son just drifts away to dreamland in my arm. :D

My juggling prowess is once again challenged this week. The hubby left for a mission trip to Palawan early Sunday and won’t be back until late Wednesday.  The majority of chores in the house gets to be done by me, but the hubby would always make himself available helping me out to occasionally lift the loads.  That is aside from the fact that the play time he usually has with our little guy would also have to be covered by moi.  Although I haven’t had a decent night’s sleep since Sunday, with bouts of migraines in between, I’m doing so much better than the last time the hubby left for Davao, October of last year to visit his father who was then sick.

I am not having the time of my life, I’m a little miserable without the hubby.   :-( But I’m making sure everyday is a productive one: still working from home, juggling chores and exclusively bonding with the little guy. :D

Behold, my first ever photohunt entry! I know what you’re thinking. I could have at least captured a prettier “clouds” shot. This may be a little too gloomy for everyone’s taste. Clouds of smoke that has over lain those pretty blue ones.   The smoke came from a factory that was under fire that fateful March afternoon.  Nobody was hurt from what I have heard.  Arson was even considered by the police investigators.

 

Just to be profound about a rather plain entry, this could very well represent how we view things that happen in our everyday circumstances. When things go wrong and the ugly circumstance can be all too overwhelming, there is always this choice to take a peek and see those under lain clouds that are pretty and charming.  :D

Our son was thrilled to see his cousin Baby Shane, Tita She and Lola Matty. Earlier that day MIL texted the hubby and asked if we were available after the morning service and as expected the only time we are ever available on a Sunday is lunch time. Because DH sends me and our son home and he would rush back to the church for the youth and evening service.  A long day all right, but a real blessed one.  It was late in the afternoon when I received a text that one major prayer concern at church was answered.  Our hearts are glad. :D

1. If I could travel back in time, I’d go to the time when I was a baby. I’d love to see how it was like.

5. I’ll always be determined and driven.  That’s just the way I’m built.

As usual, this is going to be an almost wordless one.  Our dinner was a treat from “the man” himself, Neil of Neilmaranan.com.Thanks, Neil!  This guy is ultra generous with more than just sharing what he knows about internet marketing. Even while we were still classmates back in CPE, he threw such a grand bash when he turned 21 ;-) Which reminds me, Neil, you’re soon to turn another year older in less than a couple of months.  San tayo?! Beside Neil is Nonette and the ever famous Mhel of Marikenya.com right there in the middle and beside me is Rizza of Experiencenexpress.blogspot.com.

The hubby and our little guy joined us after dinner at Starbucks.  I only got to snap just a single group shot.  The guys got a little too busy discussing business,  I tend to move away when things get technical. lol!  I leave it to the hubby to take care of those stuff.  I’m fine with just blogging, thank you. :-) Thanks so much guys for being such great friends!  Hope there will be a repeat, besides we weren’t really able to discuss much about the Salamyaan stuff, right? ;-)

Our little guy is enjoying his first ever study time at his very own study table that his father lovingly built for him.  As early as now he is getting the hang of what it is to study.  We would always read his books on the bed, now we will have a formal study time to prepare him for home school in the next months to come.  I know June of 2009 is still far ahead, but time flies really fast and it is never too early to prepare. :-)

This is the first time I’m going to join this fun meme.  For someone like me who can go on and on about the hubby, it will be sweet to allot a special time of the week to focus on just that.  ;-)

For my first ever entry for “My Husband Rocks Friday,” I would like to blog about my gorgeous husband’s masterpiece for the week: our three year old son’s first ever study table.  We tried canvassing for a good reliable table for our soon-to-be-officially-homeschooled-three-year-old-kiddo, but all we found were unsturdy, non-durable, laminated type and they were all expensive for the quality!  The hubby figured he will just make one for our son and that he did.  Although the assembly was done roughly by the man who made our bed box from the scrap and extra wood that were still available, the hubby was still the one who painstakingly puttied every inch of it, mixed paints and carefully did everything with precision. He has been working on this for the past couple of weeks (mainly because he only works on it during his days off-Mondays).  He has always been my ever reliable handyman. Thank you Mahal for making our home so much sweeter with all the things you do for me and our son. :-)
