We have had this food blog for sometime now. The original plan is for our (authors) identity to remain anonymous. Hence, our pen names Adam & Eve. We love exploring food places and good eats and with my dear husband’s knack for smart names, we gave birth to the quirky titled food blog – My Tummy is Full.

The hubby and I were invited to Delish Restaurant last August 25. If there is one thing I love about blogging, it is the chance to discover and get invited to places where the hubby and I could spend quality time at. Delish is one of those great finds!

Delish’s location is perfect for us. Just a few kilometers from where we live. I wouldn’t have known a place so conveniently close with such great food offerings, if it was not for the invite. Thanks, Mrs. Martinez!

We were the earliest to come, so we figured we could do a photo op while waiting. We tend to forget having our pictures taken when the table is sprawled with foods galore.

Ever the root beer junkie that the husband is, he ordered a Float (P110) and Carrot Shake (P95) for moi. We also got to taste their House Iced Tea (P45) which is superb. I finished the whole glass in one sipping! But I still could not make of what the special flavor is. It is their secret recipe, apparently, that they would not dare divulge.

Our family day always fall on Mondays. We all slept in and called it our day off. We headed back to bed after breakfast. Father and son “Lego bonding,” while I finished a couple of chapters of Patsy Clairmont’s Kaleidoscope. Which by the way, I am going to post a review on real soon.
We left the house to hit the supermarket – the pantry needs to be replenished. I have been doing the grocery shopping by myself recently. But we figured we can all go together, even as the little guy requested to go visit the mall and play in one of the kids places there. Anyway, I was also due for follow up with the in house Dermatologist of Flawless who I saw last Saturday, in the same mall. The malls have really made things pretty convenient for consumers and I love how we save on gas just because everything is in one place already.
Before I headed to Flawless, my boys and I had our late lunch at Burgoo after grocery shopping. Jeff has been craving for Gambas lately and that’s what he ordered.

We were invited last Monday, June 21, 2010 to have a taste of Portugal at O’sonho (pronounced as “O’sonyo”). One of the things my husband and I love is going out on a date, exploring dishes from interesting establishments. Inasmuch as nothing compares to the quality of food a restaurant has to offer, the first impression that it makes as you march in is a big factor for me. For one, I love restaurants with couches where you can comfortably sink in – O’sonho has that- in deep, inviting tangerine colored ones at that.

The wall paper in the area where our group was set to feast in took my memory back to my school days when I learned about the explorations of Columbus who was a Portuguese. I swear, it pays to be an early bird during events. Because you not only get to shift from the stress of travel time to being comfy enough to get the feel of the place you are in and observe while you are at it.

An invite to the Magyar Hungarian Restaurant in Paseo de Magallanes was the perfect homecoming dinner as I was finally reunited with the husband after being away for two weeks.

Admittedly, beyond Hungarian sausages (which I love by the way), I barely have a clue about anything else Hungarian. My first impression upon the first few minutes we were inside Magyar Hungarian Restaurant was the polite servers and that their words seem to come naturally and not just for show. That for me is something that counts a lot. Especially after my recent experience in another restaurant where no one offered an ounce of apology after someone barged in the washroom I was in because of their broken door lock! And I was in the most compromising stance then. It was such embarrassing thing, to say the least. The quality of service, if at all, has the ability to make or break an establishment in the eyes of its customers.

Moving on… the Hungarian cuisine goes beyond the sausages which they are very well known for, in this side of the world, at least. Apparently, Hungary’s cuisine is actually more known for their rich soups and sauces. Which are considered their comfort food. And I was to figure that out soon enough as I tasted two of the tastiest soup I’ve had in years – one of which is The Szekely (pork and sauerkraut) Goulash.

The hubby and I were invited to partake of a dinner hosted by Marina Oysters Seafood Grill last week with a bunch of other food bloggers. Marina’s oysters, which they are known for, are flown fresh from Iloilo daily. So they guarantee to serve only the freshest of oysters. With oysters being their specialty, I was quite thrilled to see an array of dishes in the buffet table with different kinds of oyster dishes. I have always had a big appetite for oysters! The good ones, that is. I have had my share of not so good ones in the past, all of which are not worthy blogging about. So, I’m moving on…

I initially had my doubts when we first learned that the next food event the hubby and I were invited to was to a Chinese restaurant. I was pleasantly relieved and eventually got really curious when Rowena of Animetric.info told me that this is NOT like your ordinary Chinese restaurant. Most Chinese restaurants are notorious for using Monosodium Glutamate (MSG) to their dishes. However companies disprove that MSG’s being bad for one’s health, my body tells me otherwise. Migraine strikes almost instantly as I consume food with this spice.
