Our family is having a grand time here in Baguio together with my folks. We were blessed to be given the privilege to stay at a rest house of a friend of a relative. It’s a blessing because, this place being the summer capital of the Philippines can have pricey range especially it is currently the summer season. The hubby has repeatedly shared that it could be neat to have a place of our own in this cool and breezy place and maybe have it rented out during the most part of the year.

This is our a little more than six year old black four burner La Germania gas range. If I would be given a choice I would have this sold and have myself a model that’s one level up. Not that it is in a bad shape or anything, because it’s actually in pretty good shape. It’s just that I could better do more with the other one and actually get better grills and cakes which I love doing.

I know it’s not easy to sell things like these. Because chances are, I don’t get the best deal for my item because there is just no enough exposure. When people come to me and ask me if there was anything in my previous jobs from the corporate world that I ever miss, I just give them a smile and tell them that they are not missed but merely remembered. As we celebrate our abode’s very first year today, we are reminded that first of all, God is faithful. The second thing that came to my mind is stewardship. As a family, how are we doing as stewards of what He has entrusted us.

One year ago today, all we did was relish the newness of our new home, the busyness of moving homes got the better of us on most days but after a while it all dawned on both the hubby and me that even as we had our house contents back when we were still renting apartments insured, we should all the more avail of a home insurance now that we now call this place our own. Our family is proactive when it comes to valuing our environment. We do our share either by using products that are organic or recycling materials. To prove this, instead of disposable diapers, I have made use of leakproof cloth diapers to my son in his diapering years.
