Keeping Christ in Christmas

“After they had heard the king, they went on their way, and the star they had seen when it rose went ahead of them until it stopped over the place where the child was. When they saw the star, they were overjoyed. On coming to the house, they saw the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasures and presented him with gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh.” Matthew 2:9-11

More than any other season, it is Christmas that we are reminded of God’s sacrifice of His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, to save the world. This is why we celebrated the Lord’s Supper yesterday after our worship service even as we look forward to remembering Christ’s birth on Christmas Day. More than the gifts, the feasting, it is God sacrificing His only begotten Son to save the world that spells everything out about Christmas. Thank you, Jesus, for taking our place!

A blessed Christmas to all!

These are the videos that were shared as we celebrated the Lord’s Supper yesterday at SBC-Makati.  Beyond the gift giving, the parties and the feasting, may we keep Christ in our Christmas and give Him the honor that He deserves.
