My boys and I had a sumptuous dinner in Megamall last night together with fellow bloggers, as Yashinoya held their first ever Yoshinoya Bloggers Event. The first time I visited Yashinoya was sometime in 2002 with fellow BSF ladies. I was then regularly attending Bible Study Fellowship (BSF) in CCF which is located right smack across Megamall.

Upon entering Yoshinoya last night, the first thing I noticed was its makeover – it is even more inviting now. It has been sometime since I last visited the Megamall branch. My boys and I would visit the Sta. Lucia branch of Yoshinoya instead, it is so much closer to where we live.

And to give you a peak of what we had for dinner at Yoshinoya… Here are a few of the shots I took:

Chicken Teriyaki -Regular P90 / Large P125

Japanese Fried Chicken side dish – P80

Jumbo A (Gyudon + Chicken Teriyaki) – P165

Jumbo B (Gyudon + Beef Yakiniku) – P165

Jumbo C (Gyudon + Ebi Tempura) – P165

Shiitake Shu Mai – P50 / Kani Shu Mai – P50

Yashinoya’s history dates back to 1899. It boasts of more than 100 years of tradition. It all started in Nihonbashi, a humble fish market in Chuoko, Tokyo, where Eikichi Matsuda created a delicious recipe of beef and rice known as Gyudon (beef bowl). This is actually what I order in Yoshinoya everytime I would go visit. This is what I love about bloggers events, I get to know the history behind the things that I have been patronizing all along.

To date, Yoshinoya has 1,000 outlets in Japan alone and several others all across the globe: United States, Taiwan, China, Singapore, Malaysia, Australia and the Philippines.

My little guy especially loves Yoshinoya’s Japanese Fried Chicken side dish and their Chicken Teriyaki.  He was so eager to come home and blog about tonight’s food event but I have to hold him off and tell him that he can blog tomorrow instead.  We got home past 9PM already.

Thank you Yoshinoya for such yummy treat and Rowena of Animetric.info for organizing such gastronomically delightful event! :-)

I like Yoshinoya. We frequent their SM North branch as it is the nearest to us. Before I thought their food is expensive so I never tried the one in SM Southmall when I was single but I was wrong. Their serving size gives my money its worth.

My little girl also likes their food, specially gyudon.
