A change in sleeping habits is what set my daughter off with not sleeping in her own bed. We moved to a new house and transitioned her to a "big-girl" bed at the same time. Her not sleeping in her own bed lasted a year until we read her the children's book, I Sleep In My Own Bed (www.isleepinmyownbed.com). The book is very cute...my daughter and I both love the adorable illustrations and the simple text. The book helped her understand that her room is made perfect just for her and that her belongings are there to comfort her. She is not scared to sleep in the room by herself anymore. Also she always wants the book read to her before she goes to sleep. I recommend it to anyone with fussy kids at bedtime.
