For the first time since we started homeschooling two months ago, my son was unusually quiet when we started our class yesterday. Shortly after he recited his pledge of allegiance to the Philippine flag (Panatang Makabayan), he said he was not feeling well and his tummy is aching. I told him to change to his house clothes, but before he was was even able to, he threw up all over the floor in a volatile manner. I was shocked and worried!
I knew there was something wrong, so I had him stay in bed after giving him a quick bath. I had him drink all 250ml of Pedialyte to replenish the lost electrolytes. He also asked for cream cheese sandwich and he finished all the 5 slices left from the loaf that we bought yesterday morning. He was okay until around 2PM when the thermometer started reading 38 degrees Celsius. I naturally gave him sponge bath and paracetamol. And right from the time he threw up, lemongrass juice too. He was okay since.
He’s now back to normal. In fact, we did two sessions of class today. Make up of yesterday’s and his regular class today. Here’s a video I recorded of him when he woke up from his afternoon nap, while he was mimicking Alvin the Chipmunk of the cartoon movie Alvin and the Chipmunks Meet the Wolfman.

Awwwwww….bless his little heart. It sounds like he had a miserable time. I am so glad he finally got over it and is feeling better. I hope he continues to improve!! You knew exactly what to do. The only thing I might mention that you may or may not know about is peeled and shredded apples.
I was very sick one time with Salmonella food poisoning. I was so sick that I had begun having bile come up as my stomach was completely empty. My husband rushed me to the DR. and she gave me a shot to stop the vomiting. But, she told my husband if the shot didn’t work and I threw up even one more time to take me to the emergency room right away.
Now, back to my point, the only thing I was allowed to have was Pedialyte to keep restore my hydration and the other thing was the peeled and shredded apples. Apples are loaded with pectin and act as a natural deterrent to nausea.
Now you probably already know that. but, I did want to share it with you just in case you didn’t know.
I hope you have a great weekend and that the little one is up and running all over playing instead of feeling bad!!
