We decided to just order pizza for lunch and start off the celebration right at home. It was more convenient for all of us, no need to rush off to the mall and head back home to prepare for the afternoon get together. ‘Twas a laid back Saturday morning, the weather was fine and all I really had to do is turn on our air purifier loaded with our favorite scent and watch on. Speaking of purifiers, I heard Austin Air air purifiers are great buys, but our Goodsphere will do for now. We did a mini movie marathon, which we haven’t done for quite a while. We should really be doing this from time to time.

One of the things that I had planned for the day is get on my arty-crafty suit and get on some stuff that needs fixing. One of which is the magnetic bracelet mom gave me a few years back. For some reason one of the magnets was detached. Instead, I got my apron and baked some good Choc-Oat-Chip cookies. I just thought it was just the best time to bake a bunch. It’s the hubby’s birthday tomorrow and I really have no present to give him.
Stuck with a kid, busy with this and that and no get away car to steal even for a few hours to grab a hold of a birthday gift, I know I will just have to make it up to the hubby. I’m also preparing a simple pasta dinner for his boys come tomorrow night. (boys: team mates from Marikina United Football Club). So as not to wear myself thin tomorrow, I decided to bake the goodies today, so I can relax and celebrate with my birthday boy in the morning and get down to work after lunch. (to cook until I drop, lol!)
Meanwhile, here are a few snapshots of my Choc-Oat-Chip cookies.

We haven’t tried bringing our little guy to one of those kids’ hair cutters salons. Aside from it can be pricey, it will not make sense when I can do the job myself. For those who are not in the know, which I assume most are, I have been doing hair trimming since I was in middle school (thanks to my willing victims, my mama and sis)
and even got to learn to do my own hair. It all started when almost each time I regretted going to the salon to get my hair trimmed by someone else. They would all assure me that they’d only take off two inches of hair, but I end up losing five or more inches. Made me upset, especially when all I wanted is to get those nasty ends clipped. Anyway, since I have been trimming the little guy’s hair for more than three years now, I have devised a way how to get him settled. The Barney Show! Although I would often have to plead with him that it’s okay to sing with Barney and Friends, but please leave the dancing for later.
