WS: Our Last August Weekend ‘08
We haven’t tried bringing our little guy to one of those kids’ hair cutters salons. Aside from it can be pricey, it will not make sense when I can do the job myself. For those who are not in the know, which I assume most are, I have been doing hair trimming since I was in middle school (thanks to my willing victims, my mama and sis)
and even got to learn to do my own hair. It all started when almost each time I regretted going to the salon to get my hair trimmed by someone else. They would all assure me that they’d only take off two inches of hair, but I end up losing five or more inches. Made me upset, especially when all I wanted is to get those nasty ends clipped. Anyway, since I have been trimming the little guy’s hair for more than three years now, I have devised a way how to get him settled. The Barney Show! Although I would often have to plead with him that it’s okay to sing with Barney and Friends, but please leave the dancing for later.
I teased the hubby that I’m having our little guy sport that old school coconut husk cut.
But nah, I love my cutie pie too much to make him look that silly. I was actually torn between just trimming and really getting him bald altogether. I want him to stay as fresh as he could through days. He is extra active and he is always sweaty most parts of the day. But since he so hates the hair shaver his father used on him a couple of times when he went bald, this is what I ended up with. Fresh enough, plus I don’t get to do the trimming for at least a month.
In the cab, on our way to the church. The car won’t be available until next week. This has been our means of transportation for the meantime.
After the morning service we had our lunch at nowhere else but The Spaghetti Factory. It’s our little guy’s first time, and I have to say, their kiddie meal is equivalent to a kid who is only a year old. The portion is way too kiddie, but tastes yumm-o nonetheless.
