Before this site screams issues of abandonment, I’m going to write a quick post on what has been keeping me busy these past days. I have been in my lonesome in our make shift work station since yesterday. The hubby and I would usually write our respective articles at the same time from different computers. I am trying to be as occupied as I can, so that time will just fly until he’s back. Keep him in your prayers, will you? He is in Palawan with a team from Houston, Texas. He is leading the team as they go into schools to present the Breaking Point program to hundreds of students.

As for me, aside from keeping constantly in touch with the hubby, keeping house, taking care of my little guy while doing some online tasks which includes discreetly promoting a couple of my other blogs, like what I did the other day. I also have been doing my own research on how effective diet pills are. Read the rest of this entry »

Two weeks ago, I got busy getting articles live for my newly ranked baby blog, KC. I am slowly getting the hang of writing for its niche and not just stuff on acne treatment like most readers would have expected. Although I am putting that on queue as well.
I have five other blogs that I maintain and although I first fancied my long abandoned Reviews Corner to get its own domain, I ended up claiming a domain for my other blog – Handy Tips and Hints. The obvious reason was the dot com of the latter is the only one available and the former won’t be available until next month. I hope the current owner will completely drop the domain, because to date he or she has just got the site parked. We’ll see.

That was one welcome break! All the while I thought I could go by just posting a minimum of two entries a day, I actually outdid myself by not getting a single one go live in one day. I wish I could tell you I was having the time of life on a beach. Nah!
Truth to tell, I have been stressed to the core trying to juggle issues around the house and even had to finish up some jobs that are set to expire. If there is anything, my hands are more than full. I actually need to get that superwoman pill from somewhere to be able to get by in the coming days. Read the rest of this entry »

The hubby has already started working on our little guy’s study table. He won’t be going to school until next year, but we’re welcoming this new addition to our home. While the hubby is at it, I’m figuring out the neatest way to rearrange the house. It is another reason for me to divert my attention from my internet business to reclaiming my crown as a domestic goddess.
It might take real talent to be able to squeeze in this extra stuff inside our humble home. Some things have got to go, especially the bulky ones. That’s consideration number one. I, more or less have jumpstarted this last week when we got a handful of stuff out on a yard sale. Next is, to set up a corner where the table will land. It has to be made conducive for studying. One major thing in a room that is like make or break is how well shaded it is.
Hopefully all goes well and I will soon be able to rearrange our home and get that study nook for the little boy.

Back when I was in grade school I was forced to wear thick glasses. I only wore it a year or two and I was back to sporting my 20/20 vision. I am not sure what I did right, because I was doing more than seven hundred (left eye) and a hundred plus (right). It was no fun wearing spectacles, aside from the fact that I live in a tropical country, I was one of those who had to endure beads of sweat around the nose during my puberty to my teenage years. One could just imagine how I had to periodically wipe my nose until it got embarrassing red.
The thought of going back to wearing spectacles almost became a possibility in the last couple of months. The culprit is definite – the prolonged hours I spend in front of my laptop researching an online teaching degree, and blogging about daily life and fun experiences. It was just timely that the chance to try out pinhole eyeglasses came. Read the rest of this entry »

Behold, my first ever photohunt entry! I know what you’re thinking. I could have at least captured a prettier “clouds” shot. This may be a little too gloomy for everyone’s taste. Clouds of smoke that has over lain those pretty blue ones.  The smoke came from a factory that was under fire that fateful March afternoon. Nobody was hurt from what I have heard. Arson was even considered by the police investigators.
Just to be profound about a rather plain entry, this could very well represent how we view things that happen in our everyday circumstances. When things go wrong and the ugly circumstance can be all too overwhelming, there is always this choice to take a peek and see those under lain clouds that are pretty and charming.ÂÂ

The trouble with web blogging is this– when you rest for a day or two from writing the number of entries you usually do, it takes off the momentum and hibernation becomes so tempting that no matter how many assignments are in queue, you’d want to get them off your back and sleep them all off.  I have been in this contemplative mood for a couple of days now, thinking if this is just an after effect of the second time the big G has slapped our site with a big, fat zero or it could also be the weather that regularly attempts to put me into deep comma.  Or both.
I have read somewhere that Blogging requires passion and authority, which leaves out most people.  Honestly, making a garden decor interests me now more than blogging.  But who knows I might just beautifully pick up that passion and get right back to racing away towards this site’s 1,000th post. We’ll see, if I get by just getting two to three posts live in a day, that should tell you what got the best of me. ÂÂ

Are you a wife, a girlfriend, or a mother? Do you like receiving flores during special occasions? Well, I do. I love it, but only if they come from friends and relatives. For some reason, I don’t like receiving flowers from the hubby. Some people may think it weird, but this is just the way I am. I know that to send flowers is just about the most normal thing in the world especially during Mother’s Day and Valentine’s Day. Read the rest of this entry »

During the first few years of our marriage, the hubby and I maintained a checking account wherein we kept track of every expense our household income went to. We both found it very convenient. It allowed us to see the balance between our income and expenses, or even the lack of it. After sometime, we decided to terminate our account with our former bank because of the sudden hike of the balance we had to maintain, considering the fact that it is a non-interest earning checking account. Having been employees of banks ourselves, the hubby and I knew better. We transferred to another bank but soon after it was bought by the first bank we were with. So we really did not have the choice but to close our account. Read the rest of this entry »

“What does it profit a man if he gains the whole world and loses his own soul?”
This is the message I sent to the universe at OperationImmortality.com which, according to the site will be archived in the Immortality Drive being sent into space in October, together with all other messages posted before the end of August this year.
I chose this motto, which you can check using my message ID which is 471, because this is the truth, uttered by a great man named Jesus, who claimed, both directly and indirectly, claimed to be immortal and to be God. He was tortured and killed for these claims but His resurrection backed His claims and the world was never the same again.
By His grace I try my best for this truth to be witnessed in my life. Having chosen a profession based on a calling and not on any other temporal reason I try to live this truth and encourage others to take a step back and look at their lives in light of this truth.

Our son was thrilled to see his cousin Baby Shane, Tita She and Lola Matty. Earlier that day MIL texted the hubby and asked if we were available after the morning service and as expected the only time we are ever available on a Sunday is lunch time. Because DH sends me and our son home and he would rush back to the church for the youth and evening service. A long day all right, but a real blessed one. It was late in the afternoon when I received a text that one major prayer concern at church was answered. Our hearts are glad.

Check out this advertisement of a lifetime– Zara Phillips herself, the very first royalty to ever appear in a commercial, is the fresh new face of Land Rover! You will see her in this video leading her horse, while a footballer lad comes in with terrible lines, does his thing. Just watch this Horsing Around video and have a good laugh!

Who does not love chips and mojos?

Here’s what I do when the family craves for chips. I would rather fry my own homestyle mojos and chips than open up a bag of albeit yummy commercial, transfat laden chips. You won’t believe how much transfat gets into our system and all the horrible things it causes because of the crappy stuff we allow ourselves to indulge in. I know this one’s inconvenient, because I alone have to do everything from scratch. But it’s all worth it. What’s best is everyone loves it!

We have yet to meet anyone who does not like the idea of an “all you can eat” promo. More than just getting your money’s worth, it is definitely fun to know you can have more than the regular stuff allowed for a certain budget. This site is actually endorsed by all major record companies. Goodbye to piracy, people! This one is for real. Go check it out for yourself and point your browser to Altnet and sign in for the Free 7 Day Trial and while you’re at it do all the downloading you want, the sky’s the limit!

It’s the first day of August and we want to thank our consistent top droppers from Entrecard for the month of July. We appreciate every single drop you have made to this site.
Special mention is My Absent Mind for dropping 30 times in the last thirty days. That’s every single day of July! I consistently drop back to those who drop their cards to this site, being the hardcore recipro-Entrecard dropper that I am. So for those who typed in their links in our drop list page but failed to drop their cards to this site — sorry. You better learn dropping back, it’s the way it should go.ÂÂ
