Checking Accounts

Published by User ImageJennie at 5:12 am under Home Finances, Uncategorized

During the first few years of our marriage, the hubby and I maintained a checking account wherein we kept track of every expense our household income went to. We both found it very convenient. It allowed us to see the balance between our income and expenses, or even the lack of it. After sometime, we decided to terminate our account with our former bank because of the sudden hike of the balance we had to maintain, considering the fact that it is a non-interest earning checking account. Having been employees of banks ourselves, the hubby and I knew better. We transferred to another bank but soon after it was bought by the first bank we were with. So we really did not have the choice but to close our account.

If only something like that of a WaMu personal checking account was within our reach then, I believe we would have stuck with our bank. Aside from they give out free checks with the account, safekeeping of checks is provided for free also, as well as wire transfers. We all know how expensive wire transfers cost. They also offer platinum checking accounts. It is an interest bearing account with free identity theft service. Make sure to check this site out to find out which account is right for you.
