Help on ‘SezWho’ Issues, Anyone?!

A couple of days back, I wrote about this cool plugin I just got installed in this blog. I love that Graham never chose to lay back and relax even as we can all see for ourselves how Entrecard is such a hit in the blogosphere. He can easily just do nothing and enjoy the view, so to say. He is much of a genius to do just that. When Entrecard came up with its partnership with SezWho, it thrilled me even more because of the traffic (quality) that it will potentially drive to our blogs . It just saddens me big time that this blog only got to enjoy this SezWho plugin for one full day and that’s it. For some reason, without the plugin being deactivated or anything about it getting tweaked, it disappeared like a bubble. No more rating stars, the widget is even gone. Not one evidence that it’s even there despite the fact that it is activated all right. All our other blogger sites are having the SezWho plugin running just fine. I checked my presentation tab and the widgets in this site and they are both properly placed.

I left a comment on Entrecard’s official blog but haven’t heard from them since. I understand there are a few bugs they are trying to get resolved. I’m just wondering if anyone out there who have had the same issues and got them resolved. I will really appreciate all the help we could get. Thanks in advance!

Could you give a bit more information?

Are your other blogs using the same database? Same server? Are you using WordPress MU or regular WordPress?

Have you tried to install it manually? If not, try this:
http://impnerd.com/web-development/howto-manually-install-sezwho

And if you have, do you have PHP errors turned on? If not, try turning it on and see if you get any errors.

If all else fails, try the SezWho forums instead.

Hi jen! I’m also having problems with the Sezwho plugin. it doesn’t appear in all my 3 blogs, too…plus i’ve been commenting and rating posts with the SezWho plugin but I don’t see it reflected in my EC account. I still have 0 sezwho registered comments…

I wonder what the problem is. I didn’t leave a message in their blog tho but perhaps I will go and check it out.

I can say the support forum at Sezwho is really good at getting back to you to work out the issue. In fact a faster turn around then sending them an email. I had issues at first as well though not in the same way. Hope you can get this figured out.

Thanks to those who responded!:-) I just posted a request for assistance from the support forum. I hope to hear from them soon.

I am actually considering deleting the plugin from the html root directory and uploading it afresh. I’m not sure if it will be of any help. Maybe I could try that one out if I won’t hear from them in the next few days.

Got the same problem with you guys, I followed all the instructions for installing, managed to activate the plugin on my wordpress dashboard, added thw widgets on the sidebar but still noting is showing: no rating stars and no widget badge.

Hi Noelevz! Whatever could have been the problem no. Actually mine was running all right after installation. It was so weird that after a day, all those star rating, widgets and avatars (that shows that I have the SezWho plugin) went missing. I went to the forum and nobody has responded yet.

It crashed Sunday morning, maybe that is a bit harsh. Looks like they did some tweaks on Sunday, both EC and Sez WHo sites were down all day! I had to disable the plugin, cause an Overfloe Stack error on my page. I am really disappointed, I really like the plugin and Red Carpet widget. However, after the sites return to operation I just have the rating system going and will deactivate once I see another over stack error.

I will be glad when they have everything fixed, so I can put that Red Carpet widget back on my pain page.
