Our online money making journey has allowed us to pursue freedom from debt. Being honest about it, my wife and I sometimes find it difficult to keep track of our expenses because of the many financial targets we have set and are immediately trying to reach. A lot of times we use our credit cards especially when we know that there is money that we will be expecting and this makes managing debt a bit crazy. I am blesses to have a wife who is very diligent especially in the area of finances. Through her diligence we save the hassle of getting debt consolidation service from financial advisers and still we are able to continue in our journey towards being debt free.

duggar_family_19.gifEver since I came across the Duggar family, I have always been intrigued how it is like, how they do it and how surreal everything seem to be. But the truth of the matter is this is a real family with such commendable values. Although I still can’t imagine running a household with 17 children and an upcoming 18th first thing in 2009. Wow, that says a lot.

At first I thought it was just a variation, one of those reality series adding spice to the bandwagon. I just chanced upon their website again and I found one of their website’s interesting pages.

Duggar House Guidelines

  1. Always use soft words, even when you don’t feel well.
  2. Always display kind actions, even if you have been mistreated.
  3. Show joyful attitudes even when no one is looking.
  4. Have sincere motives with no thought of self-gain.
  5. Think pure thoughts. Read the rest of this entry »

This is one of the treasured photos of us mothers in the retreat we had last Monday. Our acne-free face gracing the fine blue water of the pool. These two are sweet and prayerful ladies that have ministered to me in the last three years. All three of us don’t really know how to swim, this is why we lingered in this kid’s pool more than that of the adult’s aside from the fact that I have a legitimate excuse because I was attending to my little guy. It would have been more fun if the other mothers in the ministry were able to join us that day. This is really something that we have got to regularly do as a team.

Having said that, for everyone’s information, I only have one sister. I still call her favorite even though she practically has no competition. I just love saying it. She should have known by then that I am not a very good company when it comes to working out. This was right inside Fitness First in Robinson’s Metro East. She got me another pass. Sweet. And I just wasted it on sitting around eating my heart out. Argh! I wasn’t even able to tolerate the steam bath and sauna. A real waste, I should say.

The problem was we came to the club famished so I had to go grab some pizza burst and were they yummy and instead of thinking to get a decent workout in a plush workout place, I was actually wondering how much would a pizza burst franchise cost . The day before that I shared with the hubby the idea in my head about getting a cotton candy cart. I am nuts about cotton candy and I thought it would just be fun to have a machine available to our liking, plus the fact that we can use it for business. Why not. Starting small isn’t so bad anyway. All of these are just ideas popping up our minds. We never know, we might just get what we ask for. It does happen. I should know. :-)

This shot was taken last week of May. A rather late post, I must say. I just saw this photo as I was browsing through my folders and I just realize how fun it is to be with my sister. I shouldn’t be surprised why she’s got tons of friends. She even got sweeter when she got married. I so love her. She never fails to count us in whenever she is blessed with anything and that’s what I also do. I guess that’s what sisters should do in the first place.

Yes, I have been religiously going to my scheduled appointments, despite the many reasons that I can pull out of my sleeves not to. The most recent visit was Wednesday this week. I would say it was pretty good. For the first time in on hundred doctor’s visit, I did not wait for over an hour until I my name got called. It is interesting to note as well that I tipped the scale more than a hundred pounds now. That figures why I feel heavier than usual. Yes, I know that weight does not yet scream for me to go try the latest weight loss cream, but I am honestly bothered how heavy I have been feeling lately. It is probably that my five foot frame is not comfortable with those extra poundage, but it could also be because of my not having a regular exercise routine.

I have attempted to do Tae-bo’s early this year, but only got to do it thrice and then I got busy blogging. Exercise is a part of a healthy lifestyle and I seriously have to consider getting into one regular routine.

One of the things expected from mums like me is to ingeniously come up with the best destination for that next holiday. Most moms I know jot places down on their lists and dutifully propose to their hubbies and get the majority of votes before heading on.

A Mums’ Holiday Guide can be very handy in planning that next grand vacation. Whether you are looking for large holiday homes to rent around the world or would just love to go on a one day tour in one of those famous Orland theme parks, we all could use a hand to help take some of the stress out of organizing that next anticipated family time. Thanks Mariz for the tag, it’s purpose is to help spread the information about the Breast Cancer Awarenessmonth of June. Having had undergone fibroadenoma excision myself back in my teenage years and my mother getting orphaned by her mother before she turned thirty, this issue hits close to home and I am making my voice heard as I support this campaign.

Facts you need to know about Breast Cancer:

The first sign of breast cancer usually shows up on a woman’s mammogram before it can be felt or any other symptoms are present.

Risks for breast cancer include a family history, atypical hyperplasia, delaying pregnancy until after age 30 or never becoming pregnant, early menstruation (before age 12), late menopause (after age 55), current use or use in the last ten years of oral contraceptives, and daily consumption of alcohol.

Early detection of breast cancer, through monthly breast self-exam and particularly yearly mammography after age 40, offers the best chance for survival.

Ninety-six percent of women who find and treat breast cancer early will be cancer-free after five years.

Over eighty percent of breast lumps are not cancerous, but benign such as fibrocystic breast disease.

You are never too young to develop breast cancer! Breast Self-Exam should begin by the age of twenty.

(Resources: American Cancer Society National Cancer Institute Komen Foundation)

You can help save lives of many women by spreading the word about The Breast Cancer Site and clicking on the pink button many times as you can. If The Breast Cancer Site receives 8 million clicks on the pink button in June, their premier sponsor -Bare Necessities- will donate $10,000 for more free mammograms. CLICK the pink button today!

Beautiful homes are pleasing to the eyes. One of the things that I enjoyed immensely when we were on our honeymoon stage, aside from the hubby, is being able to prettify our home. It did not matter if we were only renting out an apartment then. I guess this was primarily because baby did not come until the third year of our marriage.

One great site that I found to have this in mind is American Home Craft Inc. If home improvement is a priority, then this is the name that corresponds to it. They have an impeccable reputation in using no less than the highest quality of materials and workmanship. Visit their site or call 1-866-455-2735 Toll-Free for more information.

I posted a couple of belly shots yesterday during my prego days, it did leave a tinge of nostalgia to both me and the hubby. Thanks for those who commented in the post. I really hope too that I could sport the same pregnancy charm if ever we will be given another baby in the next few years.

Mutsy

Now, when we get this prayer answered. One of the things I will make sure of is get one of these Mutsy strollers with bassinets and seats. I could not emphasize enough how essential strollers are for those who have babies. It gives mommies like me have our hands free and actually enjoy strolling with our babies without getting our arms all sore.

I wish I could tell you the stroller we used with our little guy was this handy. More often than not it became a burden with all its bulkiness and hard to assemble make. Mutsy currently has two new starring strollers: The Mutsy Slider (image on the right) and The 4Rider. If you would want to stay chic with your baby, make sure to check this brand out.

When I was new to the wedding business, I have always wondered what it was in the month of June that couples crowd in to get hitched in this particular season. Like most traditions, this too can be traced back to the Ancient Roman times. This yet again backs up the saying that “All roads lead to Rome.” A pagan origin, suffice it to say. But whether we like it or not, it is here to stay.

The Romans almost always made sure all weddings are done in June, because it was the time that they paid respect to the goddess of marriage, Juno. It was always believed that luck goes with the couple as they enter the marriage during this season. June weddings is an age old tradition.

Do you happen to be one of those couples planning a Wedding this Summer? I have just the site for you, YodioWeddings.com. This site allows for the couple to record the most memorable things people would say in their weddings. This is the technology I wish we had back in 2001 when the hubby and I got hitched. These are a couple of preggy shots when I was heavy with our little guy in my maternity clothes. The first shot I was more than four months in the family way and the other one was seven months. If there was anything, I made sure we got everything recorded, from the belly shots to the sonogram and everything in between. It was fun anticipating the arrival of our son. Aside from the morning sickness-free pregnancy I had, I consider that phase in our lives as very timely, we were blessed. We actually thought kids are not for us because we were over two years in our marriage with no sign of ever getting pregnant but have immensely enjoyed each other, gliding and struggling through the joys and challenges of marriage.
