One of the shots from yesterday’s outreach event the hubby led together with his team via Breaking Point Foundation International. These are Santolan High School students. A total of 431 out of the 1,860 students professed to have accepted Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior! Praise God! The angels must be having a blast partying in heaven. This coming Friday, the team is off to Gen.Pio del Pilar High School in Makati.

We are planning for a missions trip at Palawan in August of this year and as we make preparations we will be needing enough funds to make an advanced trip to scout the schools and churches Breaking Point will be working with. I hope we could just do telepresence, a high-definition video communication method over a broadband connection, to save us lots of time and money but that kind of technology isn’t available here and to the people we will be talking to yet.

One very important item from this post was a musing from yours truly.. How I have got nothing to give the hubby for a present on Father’s Day, except for this e-card I have prepared for him. I wasn’t able to join him to church that day because I was sore all over especially that morning. My arthritis has acted up crazy. He texted me during lunch time that he so misses us and he hoped that me and our little guy are there with him. I felt so sorry for him. He said he was seeing all those families strolling around the mall celebrating Father’s Day. Although he was practically distracted the whole day because his preaching schedule is full like any other Sunday, he still felt homesick. I told him that I could get a cab with our son and go to the church and I was really willing to do that because I felt a little better in the afternoon. He said it was okay if we don’t come anymore. It’s the first day of most schools, at least in this part of the world. The hubby just got back from a Breaking Point Program that was held in Santolan High School. He is off to ministering again to another school together with his team on Friday at another public High in Makati City. I remember what it’s like to be a student once. Fussing and buzzing over a lot of school preparations before school resumes and just when you thought everything is over with, you get yourself bombarded by a handful more of nagging requirements.

It does not really stop, at least until you’ve graduated. One thing any student can make use of is to choose from amongst a wide range of student credit card deals. Read the rest of this entry »

Oh a “me” time! This is something I ache for like at least once a month but I never got seriously down on. First of all, the temptation to get guilt-ridden is so great. Having practically solely taken care of our little guy ever since he was born, I always felt that I won’t be enjoying all too much if I would be away for longer than half of any given day. I know I have to break away from such thinking. I am afraid it is me who have become too clingy, while the son eases his way towards independence in more ways than one, earlier than I wish he would.

One thing I could definitely make use of is one of those fun Hen Weekends with my girl friends, a weekend of pure fun and relaxation. Even a day of pampering will be a major treat for me.

Our family is hopefully done paying off our loans in the next few months, the house loan excluded. We still have less than thirteen years to pay it off. But it has a fixed interest rate so it is not much of a burden.

When we’re finally over paying off the loans, we hope to be loan free unless it is business related, which we are kind of considering and hopefully everything turns out as planned. I hope to finally be able to use my Bachelor’s degree (Business Administration) and have work it hand in hand with the recent license that I earned (Professional Teacher) and build my very own school.

If ever, I would surely need to avail of a Small Business Loan, just like the loan we took to build our house. It will be of an unsecured one, no collateral. It takes a considerable amount of stress out of availing loans. If it is an unsecured loan that you are looking into, you might want to check EZUnsecured.com. It is a fact that searching for business financing can be a major headache. Allow the experts from the aforementioned company to do the financing so you could focus on running your business and making sales.

It’s fun to just stand back and watch you sometimes.

You’re such a terrific father. I’d even say you’re a natural.

But I also know that God is the difference in your life.

The Lord blessed me with such a great husband.

He blessed our family with such a great father.

When you became a father, only then it occurred to me

that it is possible to fall even deeper in love.

Thank you for your devotion to our family.

I’m so thankful to be married to you.

I wish that when we had our house made we have thought about including the cables for our internet connection in the plans. Whether placing them inside the ceiling or behind patch panels we should have planned for it. We didn’t foresee ourselves getting a post paid internet connection that’s why currently there are lost of cables in our living room, mostly from our ISP.

Yes, that is what I would rather do! The election buzz has gone crazy, wherever part of the blogosphere I go, this has been pretty much the talk. There is even one blog page that talks about how Nostradamus predicted that one of the presidential aspirants are going to get seriously ill shortly before the elections.

While the fact remains that the country of concern is like the power house of the world and whoever gets in the position will spell out the difference how international relationship is going to be like, I would rather that I don’t dive in all the arising controversies and go shopping instead for a cozy and elegant wrought iron bed frame. It has almost been a month since we have been going Korean-style in our bedroom. It is severely dusty from where we are and it is not very ideal to get our memory foam bed spread on the floor. We still even have not taken off the plastic because of this very reason. I chanced upon this site and saw a handful of pretty curtain rods that would match with the antique cathedral bed frame that caught my fancy. Make sure you check out the website and don’t forget to get into their secret gate backdoor to avail of their great discount. Just look for the portion that says, “Our Store now has over 1,300 home & garden items for you to choose from! and click on the lone brown comma along the line. It will be a treasure find! Here’s another tag from Chie and Hailey.. Thanks girls! Keep those tags coming. Sorry Hails, it took this long for me to get this posted. ;-)

Rules:
1. List 6 things that describe yourself today.
2. Add your blog to the list. Feel free to add all your other blogs.
3. Tag other online friends you know.

This is me today:
1. Multi-tasking as usual. Finished two loads of wash while finishing up some online business.

2. Excited for our family dinner tonight, in celebration of Father’s day. The hubby will preach the whole day tomorrow so that means there is no way we could squeeze in anything special.

3. Preparing our little guy for his after nap in a while.

4. My weekeneder assistant came to clean up the place. Yay! My body is sore from arthritis, it’s hard getting around. It’s a relief that I have our trusty automatic washer, it makes laundry a breeze while I get to do everything else. ;-)

5. A little disappointed that I still haven’t got anything prepared to give the hubby for Father’s Day. :-(

6. Planning out next week’s line up of activities.

How important really is a brand? One of the major things I am tasked to do as a homemaker is decide on our bi-weekly roster of household needs. It is practically a waste of time dilly dallying inside the grocery shop, undecided of which to purchase. That’s just me, maximizing my time, multi-tasking most days of the week. This is why I stick to brands that have earned my trust.

Aside from patronizing the current products that I trust, I do try out brands that are relatively new in the market, but they have got to create enough noise to catch my attention. Innovation hands down is the greatest genius of all. I welcome the fact that choices will expand its range by the day and I don’t mind giving other brands a try.

This is just one of the reasons why Branding is essential to any business. One great tool when it comes to this concern is BIG (Big Identity Guru). They position your product lines by producing exceptional promo materials so that that your product gets its maximum exposure. This is not very easy to do considering the vast products available in the market. There should really be something that will get your product to tick to make it big in the industry. It will be a total waste of everything if a great product is not given the proper boost. Give Big identity Guru a try and you will see for yourselves why brand owners who took the shot are all praises on the kind of service they deliver.

How often do you get a manicure or pedicure? Do you do them yourself or go to a salon and pay for them?

This coming week we will be presenting the Breaking Point high school program in Santolan High School in cooperation with our mother church’s youth ministry, Sold Out Live, and in Gen. Pio del Pilar National High School in cooperation with our church’s youth ministry, JIVE Youth ministry on Monday, June 16 and on Friday, June 20, respectively. We will be showing the program to the morning and the afternoon shift students of both high schools.

I remember the first time Breaking Point officially launched its program in the Philippines, we had t-shirts made for the volunteers to somehow appreciate their sacrifices for the organization. This year as we venture into lots of programs, I have though about giving shirts to the volunteers again and maybe even Personalized T Shirts. Read the rest of this entry »

I had my first arthritis attack at nineteen. It was chronic and would not really bother me so much but in the last three weeks it was more like a nagging ailment. I was told by my doctor in my recent visit that my medication is the culprit. My uric acid level is hyped up because of my medicines. It can be frustrating feeling so old in a relatively young body. Yes, I happen to still consider myself young to actually suffer arthritis. I and the hubby are trying to humor ourselves with my predicament and it helps me out of being down sometimes.

A couple of years ago, a church member suggested herbal colon cleanser treatment. I have heard about it in documentaries and learned that it could actually be an effective way of flushing out toxins. The cleansing process actually made sense, it is the procedure that I am apprehensive about. But if this is something that will help me a great deal health wise, then I might just consider it.
