Presenting our lil’ helper. This little guy loves getting things done and helping me out around the house.  I call him my little handy boy.   He would always ask me, albeit sometimes at annoying level (especially if I’m busy working), if he could help me with anything.  He’s a doll. A ken doll to me.  :-)

Hi JoanJoyce! Naku sis, di kasi mapakali. Msyadong maraming energy sa katawan kaya when I saw him getting really thrilled when he helps around the house eh I allow him to be productive. Nagumpisa yan ng 1 yr old palang yata sya, he wants to be the one to shoot each and every dirty laundry inside the washer, I let him do it. Minsan kasi ngsasawa na sa paglalaro, di mapakali. Mas masaya yata siyang productive siya at “good job!” daw siya.

Take advantage ko lang kasi baka bukas makalawa mgbago na isip niya at di na ko tulungan. lol! :-)

Thanks Aileen! It sure is a joy to see the fruits of our training. We firmly believe parenting is more than just providing for the children, but essentially being with them in each and every developmental stage of a child.

We have always prayed to be a good steward of this gift from God by training him up accordingly. We would love for him to grow up being loved not just by us, but by the people around him too. It’s a real joy to see it unfolding before us as early as now.

Of course we know we have to be consistent. Even as Robert Mendelsohn, M.D. said, “We must learn to accept the fact that during their developmental years children cannot be expected to exhibit adult behavior.”

Thanks again for the encouragement. God bless! ;-)

Hi CallCenterGal! I used to be the same kind of gal myself, albeit for a little while. Thanks for the kind words. Even as I enjoy having a little helper around the house, I am also immensely enjoying motherhood how I should. These stages of my son’s growing years are passing me by so fast that if I only have got chance to pause and linger for a while, I would. I can’t believe he has grown so fast that my petite frame can barely carry him with ease.

I agree with you about teaching a child especially in his formative years. When it’s gone, as they say, “there’s no easy way training an old dog a new trick.” Cheers! Happy blogging! ;-)
