Father’s Day is fast approaching and my wife has been asking me what gift I would like to receive. I have thought about getting a second laptop, or maybe just giving me one free night a week to get my exercise routine back and go back to play soccer with my teammates. But as I was surfing in the internet, I came across this great contest by Charter that can allow me to spend Father’s Day in HD. Read the rest of this entry »

The photo was taken during our visit to my mother-in-law’s place. We call this cute baby Shane. She will be 5 months old in a few days.

Even though it has started to rain here, summer is technically not over yet. There are lots of sights to see and places to find some time for relaxation and recreation – places that are just a few minutes drive from Metro Manila. There are places like Avilon Zoo in Montalban, Rizal. Another place which is just a few minutes away from Antipolo City is Sierra Madre resort in Tanay, Rizal.
For vacations outside the country a good choice would be Oahu. This place has got white sand beaches, private villas that are luxurious, surfing sites and championship golf courses. There’s a lot About the Hale Kai Villa at Turtle Bay. Read the rest of this entry »

One thing I love doing is beautifying the house. I remember being able to do just about everything I want during the first years of our marriage. But anyone will understand when I say that this has become a challenge for me now that I not only hold work from home but also have a three year old toddler around. Toys and more toys seem to be just about everywhere, despite the “pack away†time we have our little guy do regularly. Every after everything is packed away, minutes after, toys will be lying around again. It’s really but inevitable with a toddler around. It helps that I have my weekender assistant to help me out with general cleaning.

One prettifying addition I would love in our home are chandeliers. They add style, sophistication to any room. While this might be a task to maintain, the fact remains that having one defines the room creating a warm ambiance. Oh well, who knows I just might have this nice addition soon.

I don’t know about you, but there are just days that I call “telemarketers days.†They seem to just call in the most unlikely times, when I would be occupied with work or some tasks that I have to rush up with deadlines. And what’s worse is they would call in saying the same things, such as offering me cash advance from my credit card or even free supplementary cards. I know they are just doing their job, but I just can’t help but be annoyed sometimes, especially if calls would come in one after the other.
Â
It does not help much to have a caller ID, because you would sometimes wonder “Who’s Number Is This?” whenever the phone rings. And think it just might be a relative or someone you need to talk to, so you end up answering anyway.
Some people can solve this headache by having their telephone numbers registered to the No Call List Information. This will prove to be effective in removing your number in any database, blocking unwanted phone calls like the aforementioned ones.

Me and the hubby are maintaining two domains. We are seriously considering dropping the other domain that we do not get to update. But that will be with regret even as that other domain has earned its page rank despite of seldom updates. We are still putting this off and maybe even drop the whole plan if we get a good deal of multiple domain hosting. With the hubby maintaining at least eight sites and myself six, most of which using free platforms, it is not easy maintaining another site. We are just blessed that our good friend Neil is the one hosting our sites. Will probably try to get a hold of his two cents on this.

I know it’s not much, but I finally made the sign to jump start our overly delayed plan to hold a garage sale. Check out this post from my other blog. Two months delayed. This is not me. But to give myself an inch of slack, I have been through some pretty rough times. I got hospitalized a day after I posted that entry and come to think of it, the real jump start to the garage sale was when I sold our bed for PhP 1,000 in less than 30 minutes of putting up the sign.

Home security facilities have never been as promoted as it is now. For one, we need all the protection that our family can get. One of the widely available ways to get in contact with our household is the house phone. There is now a company that allows for you to know Who Just Called and even has the technology to have you run a reverse phone number search to track any number that calls you. No Call List can really come in handy especially when the frequency of unwanted calls will not stop. More than some calls being threats, making use of this service can also be a way to protect the family.

Last April, the church’s contract with the building administrators in our church’s current location expired. It was the week after the 15th and we still weren’t able to find a new place to move in to. We have made previous communication with the administrators requesting them to use up 1 of the 5-month security deposit and allow us until May 15 to find a place to move in to. We also mentioned that our budget beginning May would be P20,000 instead of P35,000.
Everything turned out to be a blessing when the building administrators told us that they’re willing to allow us to stay and just consume the 5-month deposit we have within the next 8 or 9 months and we can use it up at the rate of P20,000. SO basically, even though we weren’t able to find a new place yet, it’s like we found a place to rent at a less expensive rate. This bought us more time to look for a place that is at least 100 square meters, on the ground floor with clear side walks.
Please continue to pray for our church as we look for a place like this in the next 8 to 9 months. Thanks for those who are already praying.

After having enjoyed five full days of vacation, our family is all hyped up for our next travel destination. We are hoping to be able to do this either towards the end of the year or early next year. As I went canvassing online, I saw these great deals of must go places: Fiji Hotels, Noumea Hotels, Vanuatu Hotels and Cairns Hotels.
I know none of these are local destinations and even as our plans are all but tentative, it may help to dream bigger than usual.

While we are at it, allow me to just rethink on that Cadillac entry. The costs of luxury cars are not cheap, in fact, they are pricey. Let’s face it, some families, even those who can afford would be all too willing to get Used Cadillacs Harrisburg PA than pay for a brand new one, if only for no sub standards that usually comes with any pre-owned cars. Sutliff Cadillac gives all the more reasons for people to have this alternative. Read the rest of this entry »

Like any regular guy, the hubby is also a car enthusiast. I used to not know anything about all those stuff he would share like some details about what he recently told me about one of his friends in a business of manufacturing parts for vehicles like Hummer. I wouldn’t have a clue what kind of vehicle that is if it were not for the years of him giving me all those vocal reviews of different cars. I used to not care less for these “big boys toys.†Not until I have seen myself driving a huge 4×4 in a daydream. I just thought it would be a nice balance to my petite frame.

If you happen to have a family who values style and comfort vehicle, then you have to check out the New Cadillacs Harrisburg PA and you will sure to pick out the Cadillac SRX in a heartbeat. Read the rest of this entry »

It has been two weeks since our family got back from vacation. It was fun to spend approx. 250 kilometers away from the hustle and bustle of the city and just enjoy ourselves. It has been a while since we last had this and our first time to go vacationing with my folks. It could have been more fun if dear sister and her hubby were able to join us.
Â
As soon as we got home, we made immediate plans of going up north again. The hubby and I would dream to drive up with a better car. And while at it, dreaming that is, why not dream of a hot BMW car. A great online resource for parts, accessories and BMW Chip is MyHotBMW.com. They have 24/7 phone support and great service. Feel free to visit their online store.
