My son and I both miss playing soccer together. Every time we would ride take a drive out and pass by Marikina Sports Center he would always remind me about playing soccer together. He would say, “Papa and big boy (that’s what he calls himself) will play soccer?†And I would always answer back, “next time.†And he obediently answers, “yes, next time.†I think I’ve passed on to him my love for this sport.
Just recently, one of my favorite English football clubs, Manchester United, was crowned as the UEFA Champions League champions for this season. They brought home the European Champion Club’s Cup to Manchester and paraded both the UEFA Champions League and Premier League trophies which they both won against rival Chelsea.
There is truly a lot to say about this place, Manchester. This is where the Werner Dealerships is found. They specialize in used cars for the Manchester area including NH, Nashua and Concord. This company which sells Manchester NH Used Cars carries on the tradition of great value and excellent service for its customers which was started by the Talarico clan. Read the rest of this entry »

It was back in 2001 when the hubby used to drive around with his then shiny bright red Toyota Corolla, or should I say his mom’s. But since he was the only one available who can use the car, so he practically owned it. If there’s anything about Toyota’s, it is its being a smooth ride.
It is no wonder that the same makers of Toyota are brands which include Scion and Lexus, which are both top of the line cars. And they take up the front seats in introducing new technologies in the market like that of the first mass-produced hybrid gas-electric vehicles. It was in the year 2007 when it was said to have sold a million world wide. I can old wish that this continues to be the trend with the yet again hiking up of gas prices, its about time manufacturers really think of better ways to serve the global market. It is just nice to note that Toyota is one of the firsts and I am sure they will press on towards innovation.
For the best selections of models, check out the largest Toyota dealer in Virginia – New Toyota Leesburg VA and test drive that car that’s right for you!

This photo was shot by the hubby when we went shopping for strawberry wine which was said to have undergone fermentation but contains no alcohol. I love the way the wine bottles are lined up and the bright play of colors it reflects in its entirety.
It is interesting to note that Strawberry is a member of the rose family and strawberry wine, fermented, the non-alcoholic type, has been said to lower the risk of cancer and heart attack. Is a great natural source of folic acid, Vitamin C and Potassium. Has low fat and calorie content. If it is true then it would be nice to have a regular supply of these and have them line up in a nice wine rack from The Vine Store. This could be a great addition to one’s home. There are a few things that I am passionate about. One of which is doing weddings. It has been a while since I last organized one and despite the fact that I know it won’t fit my current schedule anymore, I still dream sometimes of picking out the best wedding invitations to coordinating the program in the actual ceremony itself. If there is such a thing, I would have to say that it runs through my veins.

Seriously now, it could possibly my subconscious hitting back on me even as I turned down at least a couple of events in the last two months. If ever I could get back to doing weddings again, I found a website that could come in handy and help me to pick out essentials like a wedding invitation. They also specialize in holiday photo cards as well as baby shower invitations. This site It gets me giddy whenever I consider going back to the wedding business again.

Our little guy has been staying in his own bed for quite sometime now. I honestly miss the times when I used to have him cuddle beside me, not minding all those stray kicks I get in the middle of the night. I swear he goes around like a chopper and would have the hubby and me stay close together, because the baby gets to occupy more than half of our queen sized bed.
Fast forward to this time in our lives, this little guy has owned his own bed. He is now cozy and comfy in his own room. His soft single bed was his father’s when he was still single. Problem is most of our beddings are for queen sized bed and we have got to get at least a replacement for the current one he uses. What I would normally do is throw the sheets in the washer and get them back on his bed when its good and clean. At the rate we’re going, his bedding will wear out in no time.

I just found a great site for Kids Bedding. Their JoJo Designs are just so right for our little guy’s room. I love his bedding to complement his room’s theme of green and blue. I would rather have these affordable designer bedding sets that lasts and lasts. Check out Beyond Bedding and have a look-see.

I have time and again mentioned from at least a couple of my previous posts why watching the news has never appealed to me. In fact, I am appalled by the endless cycles of crimes. One of which that withstands are the trucks used for delivery being hijacked or movers being held up and trucks abandoned and left in places where authorities have a hard time finding.
One of the biggest things that technology has contributed to our society is the GPS system. Vehicle tracking is currently making waves locally. But, fact is, it has been around for over a decade now and have given considerable benefits around the world with its vast applications that can be utilized by transport industries, investigation services and even personal vehicles like family cars, and student’s cars. Its facility covers both households and businesses. Read the rest of this entry »

The ultimate vacation for the hubby and me, hands down, is to go on a Christian cruise. More than just visiting the Holy Land (I have seen from National Geographic that it has transformed into a very commercial place), it would be nice to be able to join one of those Bible cruises that will actually take us to places that we only get to read from the old and new testament books of the Holy Bible.

The last time my wife and I watched sports together was during the SEA Games here in our country. We watched women’s football matches held at Marikina Sports Center and, boy, did we enjoy screaming and cheering for the RP Women’s Football team. This sure is one leisure activity that we both enjoyed together.
Â
Watching matches of different sporting events is really a good way of spending time together. The Wimbledon tennis tournament will run from June 23 to July 6 of this year. How exciting that would be to get Wimbledon tennis tickets and watch matches at the famous All England Tennis Club. We would love to see Roger Federer, Nikolay DavyDenko, Lleyton Hewitt, Rafael Nadal and Andy Roddick, the Williams sisters, Maria Sharapova, Justine Henin and Amelie Mauresmo play. Today is the second of four pre-enrollment seminars we were asked to facilitate through Breaking Point Foundation which is one of the school outreach arms of our ministry. A few weeks ago, Gen. Pio Del Pilar High School’s supreme student government adviser asked me if we are willing to facilitate the seminars. He said that the target audience are students who have had academic or behavioral problems the previous year. This year they will also be asking the parents to join and have simultaneous seminars with their children. We are discussing topics like “Communicating Love in the Home” and “Decreasing Financial Tension in the Home” for parents, the topics “Obedience”, Character/Integrity” and “Attitude” for the students.”

Last night I sent a text message to my father who is based in Davao City and asked him about surplus cars in that city. My wife and I are considering purchasing a surplus car from Davao and bringing it here. I might just get personalised number plates if we do get a surplus car that’s really nice.
A web site that offers services in acquiring private number plates is northumbrianumbers.com. They do the transfer paperwork for those who subscribe to their service. Visit there site and see how user-friendly their site and its services are.

I decided to put off our “Garage Sale” event. I took care of more important things today. Health. This comes first. No matter how annoyed I was having to wait up for two doctors (an average of three hours each) without a single explanation why such delays. I have encountered more courteous ones who would at least tell us that they had a procedure done. What irked me really is the fact that they had me come in early, real early that I was the first one on the list, just to wait for hours one end. We also have schedules you know. I can only hope they also consider that people other than them also have jobs and lives! Read the rest of this entry »

With prices of commodities in the Philippines still bullish, finding sources of particular items locally instead of importing, in my opinion, should be prioritized by the government and planned for the long term.

We should take after Brazil which continues to be the world leader when it comes to sugar production. This country has been neck and neck with India in recent years but is expected to retain its leadership for the period of 2007 and 2008. Brazil also exports VHP Sugar (very high polarity sugar), which was an entirely new form of sugar with far greater content of sucrose and less contamination. Read the rest of this entry »

Remember this post? The first thing I did when I got my recent paycheck was indulge on my second pint. I owe it to myself. I love this one as much as the Chocolate Sorbetto. I remember desperately looking for one from the grocery store we were buying some travel supplies from some weeks back. I found out later that only two local stores carry the brand. I truly am now a believer of Ciao Bella! I love the Callebaut dark chocolate chunks in every spoon. I love it better because they are dark chocolates! I have always been a chocolate mint lover too, that’s why this one I simply cannot resist.
I just have one complaint though. I will never understand why its nutrition facts would say that each pint serves 4 when I can eat the whole one in under fifteen minutes.

I have yet to find a girl who does not love shopping. Even though I consider myself prudent all right, I have to admit that I love shopping. Right from my younger years, I would love going around if not to shop, at least window shop and when I was able I would indulge my wants but up to a certain extent.
Married life has not really tamed my love for going around getting good buys. In fact, because I was both prudent and love to shop, I was able to strike a balance of both to our advantage. All we have in our house are the best deals and wisest buys. And you guessed it right, when I gave birth to our son, my shopping evolved to things for the house to baby stuff. From the best diaper to everything else. I had him use all natural, leak proof, cloth diapers. I only used baby products that are natural. Definitely no SLS from Johnson’s, absolutely not one of those more famous commercial products touched my baby’s skin.

We are at Medical City again and how frustrating it is to wait around for a long time. I feel like so much time is wasted when some doctors say a particular clinic schedule and they arrive two or three hours later. If it wasn’t because my wife needs to have a check up I wouldn’t have waited that long. It’s a good thing we brought our laptop along with us and Medical City has a WiFi area. I just had to get a drink and charge the laptop at Starbucks as I make this entry. Read the rest of this entry »
