It is innate for us human to love the limelight, getting attention and receiving approval of people around us. It is evident right from the day we were born. We are just wired that way. I recently just heard about BlogTV, which bloggers can utilize and have a live show straight from their sites. Read the rest of this entry »

When the hubby and I got our own domain December of last year, one of the things that I was concerned about was our blog’s layout and design. A friend then referred an seo blog which gave a tutorial on search engine optimization as well as web designing. Stylishdesign.com gives a lot of information about these concerns that bloggers would love to know more about. Read the rest of this entry »

I’m finally getting this tag posted. Thanks Elaine for your patience.
If you have been following this blog closely, you will understand why our lappy is currently sporting this Heroes screenshot. The hubby, alongside the youth leaders of our church, has been going around to different schools in Makati and Magallanes and uses this laptop to promote as they sign up students and show the promotional video in the schools. The camp he is directing officially starts this coming week up to the next. Read the rest of this entry »

One of the first few things that our friend had us do when this site was still in its infancy stage was to get it listed in free web directories. He gave me a long list and it sure was at first taxing but I saw the importance of which in the following days and months when my statistics and rankings came back to us higher and better.

Dirmania is a free web directory site that gives quality advertising. There are just about tons out there and this one gets you listed in the appropriate category where you get your sites listed for free. I still have to get the rest of my site listed in very soon. Read the rest of this entry »

Today we are scheduled to go back to the doctor for follow up. It has been 22 days since my wife was discharged from the hospital, finally ridding herself of medical alert bracelets. As we go back today, we pray that improvements on her health will be seen and no other procedures would be prescribed and we hope that less medication will be given.

Dear sister has been bugging me to go to Fitness First with her since early last week. It was for me something I don’t have time for. She’s very persistent (a.k.a. “kulit”) in texting and sending me YM msgs, even when I ignore her messages. Read the rest of this entry »

We had a blast yesterday right here at home. Our family decided we will have a cook out, do our traditional barbeque specialties and just have fun celebrating our father’s birthday. I made this potato balls with bacon bits recipe (I honestly do not know what it’s called but it’s a hit every time.) Papa prepared “Sinigang sa Miso” (Blue Marlin), pork chop and chicken BBQ, his famous spag and we bought a gallon of Double Dutch ice cream. Yummy! We just love feasting and having fun. Yesterday was a knock out especially because aside from the “balaes” of my folks from Rose’s side (parents-in-law) and Ted’s cutie “pamangkins” (nieces) were here, this was Papa’s 59th birthday celebration. He officially turns 59 on Thursday, April 10. Yesterday, being a declared National Holiday, everyone took advantage of it and thought it was the best date to celebrate.
With our family’s love for food and getting together to feast and enjoy, we are really praying to have that restaurant dream to someday take off. The restaurant capital funding

Even as I have been privileged to be ushered into the world of blogging and have come to see the benefits of the former infamous broadcasting of thoughts and what-have-you’s. I do not know the exact number of bloggers online, but through doing my rounds blog hopping, I know we are aplenty. Recently though, I have been receiving warnings from PayPal and other entities concerning some online modus operandi that have been going around.
The sound of phishing used to be foreign to me, but with all these warnings in my inbox, I have come to realize how bad it really is. As I concern myself with things of this nature, I have come across a site and discovered the value of lifelock. Read the rest of this entry »

Graduation season is here again. Our young people from our youth center are thrilled to celebrate this season with the graduates. Most of these graduates are towards pursuing either higher education courses. At present, statistics have it that medical related jobs are so much in demand both here and abroad. Some would love to be a nurse, others medical assistant or a pharmacy technician. Read the rest of this entry »

One week left and we still haven’t finalized the stage we’ll be using for the Heroes Summer Youth Camp at Mt. Peniel, Capas, Tarlac. Last year the camp site shouldered the expenses for the stage but they begged off this year because they said they were not able to re-use the wood they used for the stage. My partner in directing this 2-week event where we’re targeting about 600-650 high school and college students each week is Alex. He took out his bic pens and designed a stage that can be re-used for future events but the cost was beyond our budget. Read the rest of this entry »

I was having this conversation with mother last night about someone they went to visit when she was in the States. This reminded me of one free consumer resource that exists to help those in this circumstance. bad credit credit cards, or whatever that might have gotten you to sulk and stay hopeless. The team from BadCreditOffers.com monitors the credit marketplace that offers the best bad credit loans available, regardless of a less than perfect credit history.

A snapshot of dear son tinkering with his father’s computer. He does look serious, eh? It looks as if he really has got some business going there.
It is actually the hubby who has got some searching to do for info on HDMI switches for personal computers.
I just love the way he mimics both me and the hubby. He is just so good at it that he takes in even our tones every time and projects his mimicry exactly the way we sound.

Even before becoming a pastor I have been in the business of violence and substance abuse prevention. I remember volunteering in 1999 for the abuse prevention organization that eventually hired me in 2001. We underwent training as abuse prevention presenters and presented the organization’s unique anti Drug Abuse program to different high schools in Read the rest of this entry »
